Indeed! The ONLY reason anyone would be looking for "spares" in the Pearl St, when tickets are still available on open sale, is because they'd fall foul of the address-checking process the club has put in place to prevent those with an address registered on the Oldham system from buying tickets

I've never tried to buy a ticket there, so wouldn't know, but assumed you were linking the lack of availablity to buy tickets in that section to the closure of sections of stands due to us playing Oldham, thus reducing capacity... [Post edited 2 Feb 22:47]

JW confirmed it's being actively pursued, the devil being in the detail
For instance: if there was any possibility of the club having to move from Spotland, it'd need to be established that a Golden Share (which is essentially a block on the sale of the ground) didn't get in the way, if that was in the best interests of the club |
