Another positive reccomendation for 'A Complete Unknown'. Witty, quirky and atmospheric. Music brilliant, naturally. Some poetic licence, but understandable. |

Good, long post Golborne. I dunno, maybe I you're right and I'm being a little unfair. It's just how I see it, after all, and that's from a distance. I've actually sat on that post for some time to make sure that it wasn't knee-jerk. Clive's post just now lists my concerns with the squad very well, and he does it position-by-position. Of course we have numbers, every football club has numbers, but our effective squad is very small, and the lack of effective cover is stark, and while the effort is usually there some of our players are nowhere near the level required. Or, at least, that's how it seems to me. |

Very disappointing, I'm sorry to say. A summer of shocking recruitment and a farcical medical performance led to a dreadful autumn. Cifuentes also must regret his tactical set-up given the players he had at his disposal. A superb recovery, a superb performance by management and players had us three points and three places from the play-offs, but when a very quiet transfer window closed we still had most of the structural problems we had in August, prompting the thought that we'd pressed up hard against the FFP ceiling back last Summer. Predictably, the injuries have continued. Predictably the small and unbalanced squad has failed to cope. Predictably, some of the drive and belief has ebbed from the squad. I'm not jumping on the bandwagon when I say that I'm worried about Cifuentes leaving. I've been worried since the January transfer window closed. He doesn't have a record of staying long at clubs, and each passing transfer window here leaves him no closer to a settled and competitive squad. Cifuentes is not perfect. No manager is. But he's the best manager we've had in a long time. Last Summer we had a good manager, we had momentum and we had FFP room. In short, we had a generational window. Hard to believe right now that we didn't blow it. As for Nourry's antics off the field, I find them insulting, I feel they display poor leadership, and I worry about his ethics and judgement. A very disappointing season. |

Very good. I should have got that one, though. |

Nope, I'm beaten. The only other Irish goalie I can think of is Brian Murphy and he didn't get a senior cap. |

Well, Paddy Kenny was probably "the last capped Irish Goalkeeper to play for us." But, do you mean the last Irish Goalkeeper to be capped while playing for us? In which case, I really haven't a clue! |

Ah, ok. So: Rowlands Delaney Dunne Armstrong Dunne ? |
 | Forum Reply | Congrats Jimmy! at 22:30 23 Mar 2025
Ya, if he hasn't signed already, his call-up and appearance will have dented our chances of signing him. |

Don't think Manning got capped while with us. |

Delaney? Although Damien was born in Cork, so ireland would be his second nationality, like. |
 | Forum Reply | Congrats Jimmy! at 22:11 23 Mar 2025
Yes. Often forgotten that he got a cap while with us. |
