talk about not doing yourself any favours to try and break into the starting XI.

how bad was that cameo on Saturday...

Just a reminder whilst we have so many players on our books, very few of them are worthy of starting week in week out

Thought he was OK when he came on vs Bournemouth, but against Blackburn he hadn't even been told to warm up once all game and seemed like a very last minute decision to bring him on.

I felt sorry for him. Kept on tripping over himself and leaving the ball behind. Hasn't had a game for so long he's forgotten how to play football.

Little unfair he came on in the 88th minute. Against Bournemouth when he had 25 mins he was looking sharp and quite dangerous, and frankly I'd play him ahead of Hoillet at the moment as at least he will go down the outside and can cross a ball

Hoilett looked good on Tuesday as well. Lot of kneejerk reactions based on one game we didn't even lose!

One day someone will sign him and play him consistently on the left wing where he will do really well. He lacks football intelligence but if you give him the mandate to push it past the full back and cross the ball, he will create a lot. Still probably the best crosser we have.

" Still probably the best crosser we have."

I don't know. I don't think I've seen anyone crosser than Barton!

I'm not quite so sure Traore's focus is right, he needs to be trying to prove a point to the staff, but I see someone who is too carefree to the point it looks like he doesn't care. I hope I'm wrong, but that's my impression just by his football alone.

Some players just give off a vibe that tells its story. You could see it with Faurlin as well, but he was desperately trying to impress and do what he could to play well, and you could almost see the pain and anguish on his face when he had a poor match.

For Traore, he needs to really knuckle down, because if he can't win a place in a Championship side, then his career is going to stall badly and he'll be staring down the barrel before he knows it. He's at the sort of age that he really needs to play every week, as there's a lot of improvement needed in his game that ought to be achieved through playing experience.

I think the fact you described someone as "poo" invalidates any opinion you have on the matter!

He has a decent cross on him and some pace, so i would take him over hoilett, who just cuts inside every time.

Actually disagree there Neil. I thought the prob on saturday was that he was trying too hard! Desperate to do as he was told and overlap and get some crosses in, he tried too hard, rushed into things, and messed it up. Personally, I like him.
I wonder if anyone's ever thought of trying him in centre midfield. Crazy idea, probably nonsense, but with his build (the man is huge), pace and skill... hmmm...

Bare bones.

It's a good post Neil, the "vibe" he gives off to me is he's a bit thick, I could be wrong. Awful signing though, & I'm defo not wrong about that, hopefully off in January.

Yeah, who knows really? You could well be right.

I'm just basing my view over a period of substitution appearances to be fair, rather than just the short cameo on Saturday.

I feel sorry for him for that game, because seriously, what can anybody do with a few minutes here or there at the end of a match? That's always going to frustrate and annoy players, so maybe a bit of Saturday's vibe was to do with precisely that. It's understandable and natural to some degree.

I don't think playing him centrally is too crazy an idea, it might help him develop his game, but I doubt he'll get that opportunity here. He tends to lock his body and open up in a way that tends to get him in trouble when he's on the left, but if he was central, it would actually make it easier for him to pass to the left side. So that's a trait that he could exploit from a central position.
