I’d imagine Kolli has been advised to get his head down, prove his worth, then we’ll find some middle ground on a contract extension and see him back in the squad - assuming demands aren’t excessive. A bit of tough love, ensuring we’re not seen as an easy touch on contracts.
He likely wouldn’t be starting consecutive Dev Squad games (and performing well, by all accounts) if there was an attitude problem and there wasn’t a mutual understanding that this is in both parties’ best interests. Perhaps that’s a glass half full take, but we’ll see how it plays out. [Post edited 1 Oct 14:02]

Whatever is going on hopefully the most sensible thing to do is to simply sit down with the player and his representatives and iron it out. It would be a shame for this kid's short and longterm future to be ruined and for the player and the club not to benefit properly from a potential career here. He has a lot of talent. Surely we should be able to manage the player and nurture that talent? |  |
