I'd love to know if they're misinterpreting what Marti wants them to do in these passive periods, or if they're just instinctively looking to hold onto leads based on painful experience, or what.
I didn't see last night but it was really noticeable after scoring on Saturday. Then one of the first things the manager says afterwards is we dropped back unnecessarily, and Anderson points out exactly that they became too passive - what is going on there then?
Obviously scoring caused West Brom to have more of a cutting edge, maybe it's just as simple as not being able to live with it against better players, but as a team something clearly seems to happen there - hopefully it improves over the coming weeks. |  | | |
