“Two-tiered policing” accusations 14:58 - Aug 11 with 2875 viewsJoesus_Of_Narbereth

We’ve heard this phrase numerous times since the awful events of the last week. It’s the suggestion or accusation that police treat people and events differently based on their race, gender, political beliefs, religion etc.

Several government ministers have since dismissed this notion as a conspiracy theory. The media and ‘fact checking’ websites have been sent in to bat to confidently dismiss the thought labelling it false. The Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has also labelled it a conspiracy theory and stated that the law operates “without fear or favour”.

Fair enough I hear you say, that’s the way it should be right?

The massive elephant in the room however is that many of these individuals including members of the current and previous government and the wider media at large have been arguing for several years that there is indeed a two tiered police approach in this country. Reports that the police are systemically and institutionally racist and misogynist were accepted without question. Suggestions that minorities are routinely harassed with disproportionate instances of stop and search or other activities and alleged brutality highlighted the clear ways that the police target ethnic minorities differently based on pre existing prejudices. Anyone who questioned that at the time was accused of racism or being a gammon etc.

Now somehow we have reached a point where the very notion of two tiered policing is dismissed out of hand as being completely ludicrous and impossible. As if the last few years didn’t happen and they weren’t trotting out in front of the cameras as often as possible to decry the awful police and their terrible bias. Taking the knee to violent protests, demanding the defunding of the police etc.

The question I have been finding myself thinking more than ever lately is do they honestly think we’re that stupid?

Well clearly they do. Wasn't there uproar after the police and social sevices up North didn't inestigate grooming gangs for fear of being called racist...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65174096

So yes, two tier policing does exist and YES the politicians clearly think we are stupid.

It's hardly a new idea though, Government and opposition have been playing this game for decades, th oppo make loads of claims but when they get into power say something different.
Starmer and his current cronies are no different to other politicians, they don't tell us the truth just what they want us to hear to make their jobs easier.

Their devoted, if blinkered or completely blind followers just keep on voting for them though be it Labour or Tory.

At least last time a lot of people had woken up and simply didn't vote. A small prtest but one that will gather pace, I think, as time passes and ever more people see the truth.

The police are merely a symptom of rubbish governments, they follow the rules politicians make, they are lead by politically appointed chefs who are more concerned with image than substance.

Heck 2 tiers is probably wrong too, it's probably more like 4 or 5 tiers.

I think "Two Tier Kier" is going to become implanted in minds in exactly the same way as "Margaret Thatcher Milk Snatcher" has.... Certain words and phrases become unforgettable.

Yeah possibly. That's why the government trotted out "consiracy theory" which has become a tired cliche for government failure really. They use it to try and deflect from the painful truth about political failure thatwe all suffer.

The real consiracy is in government circles to keep us in the dark and feed us BS so we just keep doing as they say.

In a way we were luckyto have Bojo because his antics woke a lot of people up.

I think two tiered policing is accurate 10 years ago and a bit later where the grooming gangs were given too much leeway as police were scared of being called racist.

Comparing the BLM riots to the recent ones is daft. They’re far more comparable to the 2011 riots.

These issues are not right wing riots playing up by those frustrated by immigration. There just idiots who like a ruck.

Fine.

Keep an eye out for the sentencing.

Most are not based on race or immigration, they’re just people rioting because they enjoy it.

The whole ‘people are mad so what do you expect’ is

So many are not far right, they’re just enjoying the carnage.

Far right is a daft term who I can’t really attach to anyone apart from maybe Tommy Robinson. Some are just populists- Farage, Brand etc.

Douglas Murray is just Tommy Robinson with a theasaurus.

Jordan Peaterson is a good barometer for those who think they’re bright but aren’t..

On the other side is people like Owen Jones who is simply the left’s version of Jordan Peterson but thicker.

It will be interesting to see the way a certain street carnival is policed at the end of the month. It normally morphs into a celebratory stab fest on the last day.
Bearing in mind a well established biker festival with over 20 years unblemished record of exemplary conduct on site was closed down because of a murder that occurred on a motorway some 30 miles from the festival site.

Owen Jones wishes he was as bright as Jordan Peterson. You may disagree with what he says (as I generally do) but intellectually he is on a different planet to Owen Jones.

Jones (and similar types like Polly Toynbee) are basically left wing versions of Richard Littlejohn or Rod Liddle.

I argued the Manchester airport flare up was not necessarily about race. People were insistent it was. The Police were excessively rough because they were Asians. So what is it?

I saw a gang of white youths smashing up windows in Asians areas with no police presence either.

Peterson makes my skin crawl. Don’t know what it is about him but I just can’t stand him. Same as Peter Hitchens.

Owen jones to his credit is a good polemicist. You can tell he believes in what he says and has the fire and passion to express it no matter how batshit crazy it may be sometimes.

Owen Jones , a poor man , poor man . Out of the two brothers I thought Christopher Hitchens was the more intellectually astute and just maybe Douglas Murray and Peterson commentaries goes way over the heads of some guardian readers .Each to their own .

What's been partly responsible for the mass discontent amongst the general public (one's with common sense I guess) of late continues and the anger will NOT go away. Labours "Smash the gangs"? Yeah really?

There again there have been loads of Socialist Worker placards on show over the last week or so demanding open borders so that more can come in. Anyone willing for an increase in their taxes to pay for that?

Its now becoming an open invasion , and yet we see the thickos with their placards "Refugees Welkome" as if its becoming an open door policy although I'm beginning to believe it already is .The recent riots have not only have had a negative affect in many ways but one which stands out are these anti right wing counter protests which have brought out all sorts of Guardian loving fruit cakes who are happy to share the wealth as long as its not theirs.
I see Raynor has already backtracked on her pledge to ensure council housing with her department confirming it would not go ahead with the reform, which would have meant only those living in Britain for at least ten years could get on the 1.3million-strong waiting list. Flip Flop .

Many are speculating that council houses are to be built with main intent to cater for the relentless numbers of illegal immigrants, and to enable the continuation and absolutely insanity of astronomical legal immigration numbers.

And Labour’s reported aim is to close hotels and to "disperse" illegal migrants throughout the entire U.K.

THAT? I guess that’ll mean illegal entrants becoming prioritised queue jumpers for FREE social housing? End result? The floodgates well and truly opening for terrifying numbers of non-documented males. Free council house on arrival? What punishment? And what a deterrent hey?

This is the most dangerous government this country has had since the interregnum. At least when the Tories set about f’ing up the country they did so through sheer incompetence and ignorance. This lot are doing it with malice and joy.

Perhaps slightly off topic, but one bit of news that disturbed me is the following.

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/indians-and-nigerians-fill-more-jobs-in-br

It seems that recent immigrants have filled more newly created jobs in the last year or two than job-seekers from the population already here. No doubt some will say that this shows how much we need immigrants but, given that we already had a steep population increase fueled by immigration in advance of this recent period, it seems that those unwilling to do these jobs include many immigrants of a few years ago. In its manifesto, Labour promised to address the problems of the labour market as a means of getting immigration numbers down, but all the policies announced so far - from non-use of the term "illegal", to minimum income requirements, eligibility for asylum processing, and this latest thing - point in the opposite direction. I think JoN may have a point about the potential for further lasting damage.

https://www.labourfreemovement.org/

The "Stop building borders" flag-banner on show on a Labour supporting/members webpage, says it all!

Who needs borders hey? Soooooo out of fashion? Nothing that welcoming an epidemic of organised crime gangs, criminals and other undesirables paid for out of the tax-funded "magic money tree" can't cure hey?

What many Labour loons require is a dose of the 'penalty clause/profit and loss' private sector outside of WOKE infested area's of public sector to experience the true value of money and what reality and common sense actually is.

In all fairness I know an ex-clinician who thinks that health boards wasting thousands on rainbow-alphabet flags is "a load of sh1t". So not everyone is a nut-job, but others? Is there a postcode for "cloud-cuckoo-land?

The one that makes me laugh is the claim(s) that there is a desperate need for 'fruit pickers' despite the fact that millions have come in from abroad.

That sort of says? The ones that have come (or are coming) in from abroad do not want, or no longer want to be fruit pickers themselves either.

And onto the subject of "our lot" being criticised for not wanting to be fruit pickers?

I suggest the bleeding-bloody-obvious that the ones with the criticism about that have never EVER done a full days work (let alone a full weeks work) whilst being in a “stress position” themsleves. ]

And I can assure you that there are a few on here who know all to well about (squaddies and riggers etc) stress postion stuff. That's why its hillarious reading the opinions of others who do not have a clue of what its really like. Get out of your f-ing offices and give it a try?

Without digging into the detail I would surmise that the huge majority of those “newly created jobs” would be in the so called gig economy. Low pay, no guaranteed work, no rights, no holiday, sick or maternity pay. Can be dumped at a moments notice.

Exploitation essentially.
