Perhaps the insurers had insurance themselves. I have a lot of faith in British insurance. The principle is people who do nothing wrong should not be penalised for the bad actions of others.
I was staggered CCFC had no insurance and it seems the insurer was in part at least at fault. This was very poor by them.
Disasters occur when several things all go wrong at once. Almost no one in the affair come out looking good. In my opinion that includes Nantes FC and their agent.

Was he ever right? I always wondered how he couldn’t be insured if it’s an automatic process like on deadline day at midnight when they are all flying here and there, must be something in place? It can’t be down to Sheila the club secretary to be up and about at midnight and most insurance companies phone lines shut at 7/8pm.
