Window on 09:02 - Sep 1 with 2039 views | Private_Partz | Jury out for me. We will know in about a months time if Martin has an eye for players and if he can mould them into a team. Yes we could be short in some areas. Which Championship clubs are not? Very few I would wager. The new signings look potentially excellent although a couple come with baggage. Time will tell....

Window on 09:08 - Sep 1 with 2029 views | jack_lord | In my opinion we lost our best player but he hadn't played this season. We also lost a proven goal scorer who has a lot of ability but some of his basic skills were certainly questionable and we have loaned out a couple of border line first teamers (Whittaker didn't happen). We have got, potentially, a great defender but I thought we already possess enough. We have got a striker who will be good enough in our new system and hopefully the enigma will sign today. I was hoping we would have got the guy from Brentford though. I suppose the money from Dan James can be used for the Christmas party.

We have 4 strikers going for 2 places - Piroe, Oba, Cullen, Whittaker. AM we have 4 players going for one spot. OK, 2 of them are not fit yet, but even so, Paterson been doing well with Yan as backup. Walsh and Ntcham both to come in.

Don't think so. Only free agents until Jan

Window on 11:03 - Sep 1 with 1867 views | onehunglow | It all depends It should be a case of being excited but with us it’s more apprehension. Whittaker staying is good,Grimes bad . Joseph appalling Still,we have strikers now so it seems not too bad. All we need now is an astute coach who can get the players to perform effectively Good luck Russy

I’m ok with the striker position but CAM all have significant question marks over them, from a fitness, ability &/or consistency basis plus we already sit low in the chances created & shots on target stats. Could prove to be ok but jury firmly still out for me.

The biggest issue with the window is not getting rid of the players we didn’t want to keep. That’s left us overloaded in some positions (centre midfield) and without much creativity as we didn’t have the funds spare as players didn’t go. No idea why we kept Grimes and Bidwell. Or Bennett for that matter. Big earners and in positions where they weren’t needed. Very short further forward. It will take a few windows to get the balance right but can’t help think a bit less greed on Grimes and it would have been so much better. If Grimes and Bidwell had gone and we’d brought in some pace on the left and Fosu it would have been a better balanced squad.
Window on 11:52 - Sep 1 with 1811 views | vetchonian | The question is does Martin now feel he has the round pegs to fit into round holes suitable to play his way? If not what happens now? OR do we have to endure more losses until the next window in January to make some changes to personnel?
