On Tuesday I will be making my first trip to Bury to cheer on Dale from the away end. Any top tips to make my trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Both practical and amusing tips are expected.

We've been in that end in 2008/09 & 2009/10 since then.
I think Le Fondler was prancing around as Father Christmas at the league game a month later. Townson's goal was in the FA Cup tie.
Did you go to Chesterfield in the 2011/12 relegation season? Bizarrely, there was quite a good, defiant atmosphere in the Dale end that day.
We lost 2-1 and got relegated, with Chesterfield fans taunting us with "Going Down" chants.
They were relegated a week later!
Anyway, for your entertainment:

Well I'm glad someone enjoyed it. Didn't Townson miss a penalty in the game at Spotland that season? Could have been someone else, happy to be corrected.
I flew back from 4 months in Canada that day. Got in about 8am to Gatwick and after some traffic issues the old man drove at warp speed along the motorway to get us into the ground about 2.59.
Hard to say it was worth it to be honest, particularly since we fired Preece and the Barrow glory years began the following Monday.

James Today’s scores really put the cat amongst the pigeons for tues night.
Bury concede a late pen to lose after being ahead,Dale meanwhile win after falling behind and escaping a late penalty appeal.
Bury are potentially 2 games away from relegation ,Dale meanwhile see the opportunity for an escape from the drop.
Its gonna be a very intense atmosphere at the game....not for the faint hearted..not easy for Lowe to pick the Bury players up after today..whereas Hilly has the task of keeping Dale players focused on each game as it comes.
This will be his finest achievement if he can keep Dale up.
Honestly from our perspective the majority of Bury fans don't much care anymore. It's not a "must win", as win, lose or draw (and lose is by far the most likely) we are down whatever happens now. Have been since we set fire to 2 points against Oldham.
There's sort of a peace to it really - the reaction at full time now is merely "that's another one done, only 7 to go now".
James - enjoy the experience mate. Can't say I have enjoyed a game with Dale in some while as 1. we haven't turned up on the pitch for one in years and 2. they bring out the worst elements in both sets of fans.
Anyway, enjoy the game and the few that follows and we will either see you in League Two next season or we won't.

Unfortunately not, Wetherspoons. Who had run out of burgers and also looked at me like I was mad. When I asked if the ale they said was meant to be cloudy, was unfined.

You missed a trick ( but you still have time )
Trackside 10 times the boozer and only 2 mins walk from Spoons.

My sympathies James. Been in both Spoons in bury and never again, the rudest staff i've come across in what is normally a place where decent service comes as standard

Had a couple of pints in there very nice too. Earlier on I went to the black pudding stall in the market. A friend who hails from Burnley asked me to get him some boiling black pudding. Hopefully they are not deemed an offensive weapon. I did explain to him they won't be kept refrigerated.

Keep them in yer underpants for some extra flavour, and see if he guesses!
Expect you'll be pleased you made the trip, and safe journey home

Excellent idea. Definitely well worth the trip, even with the debacle with the bus back to Manchester. Thank you hopefully I will get some shut eye on the coach back to London. Earlier in the year someone mentioned it being a rollercoaster of emotions, it certainly has been. UP THE DALE, KHBA.
