My mate that sits in the upper west just sent me a text to say he was nearly sick to see Hain running to congratulate the Yanks after the final whistle went.

God I'm going to puke.

Yet he continually won re-election...

Says a lot about the electorate really!

I'm ashamed to say that I was living in his ward, still am but he's gone Thankfully.

He went up to the Gleision mine disaster and they were all fussing and making sure everything was right for his visit even down to making sure his feet didn't get muddy, he turned up with his I'm here attitude as usual.

Mind you, it could be said getting rid of apartheid has really benefitted South Africa , a wealthy economy with an educated people in a burgeoning economy with a safe environment

On another note Kenya seems to be
doing pretty well in the branded handbag and mobile banking stakes.

If you are talking about his work in the constituency then he was in charge for over 25 years and no bugger ever saw him apart from election time. Neath has turned from quite a busy market town into a town centre full of card, charity and cash for gold shops. There's been zero investment in the whole town, certain parts are absolutely no go areas because of the scumbags launching fireworks at people for fun because there's f uck all else to do.

The whole place has been neglected and he as you point out was one of the most powerful and influential people in the country and still did the square root of absolute f uck all for the area he was supposed to represent. You never saw or heard the orange oompah loompah faced bastard west of the Severn bridge.

Spot on Highjack, Neath has become bedsit land as well, properties full of bedsits/flats are popping up all over Town.

What about such antics as failing to declare up to £100,000 of donations during his attempt to become deputy leader of the Labour Party (for which the Met provided a file to the CPS who did not prosecute, but Hain did pay back a 25 grand "loan").
Im sure that did the good people of his constituency a lot of good.

Failing to declare expenses isn't a policy, it was a cross-party problem.

I was referring to policies that can be voted on, what do you have to say for that?

I wouldn't say South Africa is a safe environment Richie, Johannesburg isn't for a start despite its wealth, a relative of the wife went there with work spent a year there and the story's he recalls would make your toes curl.

Neither, he doesn't know me from Adam.

Just not going to jump on a bandwagon of hate for someone who is being made out to be the enemy of the "working class" when in reality that isn't true at all.

Politicians of every colour were taking expenses they shouldn't have. I specifically was asking for policies which he votes on which are clearly against the "working man" in his Neath constituency as described in this thread. Maybe there are a handful, still waiting for an answer...

Phil Collins?.....Rod Stewart? They tried to do exactly the same despicable Hain freeloading/freebie stuff at Chelsea when Ken Bates was chairman. It made the papers. The falling out between Phil Collins and Bates made a very entertaining read. Mr Collins neither wanted/expected a deluxe ‘birds-eye-view’ expensive seat he indeed demanded even greater i.e. both VIP seat and VIP treatment. And all free at that!

Ken Bates take on it? He said Chelsea supporters, would at their own expense travel the length of the country and sometimes stand on a cold and open terrace in pissing down midweek rain to watch a League Cup game but yet paid their own way. Ken Bates recalled a story about Rod Stewart trying to gatecrash some freebies/VIP treatment and Bates replied by giving him the phone number to the ticket office and the price range. Classic! The idiots who stick up for Hain hey!

Thanks!...Here is a link to just one story of that time. Sadly the passage of time has diminished and more of Mr Bates views are sadly now unavailable because of the passage of time.

I completely agree with Ken why should people get free tickets when they can afford to pay for them?
F*ck me Hain even gets free parking when disabled season ticket holders have to pay for it.

He's a freeloading piece of shit end of.

Well I'm not aware of any policies he is in favour of apart from the policy to preserve and improve his own personal standing in society.

He's done nothing for Neath absolutely nothing, here's another example of the great man that Peter Hain is
