Championship is not the end of the world, might have the fun of playing for promotion or Wembley for a play off. If we are not sorted a bit by Jan it is not the case of who comes in, but who we can hang on to, GS, JM, MB and Fab could all be on their way. |

Well... if you relegated you'd surely expect most of your squad to leave pretty quickly anyway wouldn't you? No offence, you're not exactly Newcastle who can keep their top players in the Championship.
If the Yanks make their money having done that, they'd almost certainly want to sell their shares. A debt free club which I believe you are is more marketable, after all. Depending who then takes over, there's no reason you can't rebuild in the Championship. |

The team we are left with will actually be a good base as our centre backs, Amat, VDH, Mawson will do fine, as will Kingsley at LB.
In midfield, Fulton and Cork will start, with Sheehan taking up Gylfi's role. Upfront, McBurnie will be involved.

Promoting straight back up isn't always the answer though if the rebuilt squad isn't ready at that point. The Championship is so difficult to get out of, spending a few seasons there rebuilding isn't the worst thing long term. | |

McCormack is very much an anomoly in that regard though. Goal scorers have a premium regardless of league and, as always, it's a case of what a buying club value him at and what a selling club are willing to accept as a bid.
Given a full season at this level, he's a 20 goal a season striker. Not too many of them around. | |

Championship is pretty competitive, any team can beat another on any given day. Usually get one team promoted from League One that is out of their depth, Rotherham this season.
Not convinced you'd plummet further if you did relegate this season ( assuming Bradley goes after that is ). |

When we're in the Championship we'll have a team of Division 1 players playing in the Championship.
