Expect pelters 20:16 - Nov 1 with 1557 viewscwmdonkinjack

Thoroughly share the pessimism after last night, still believing that it might have been a game we could win beforehand. Missing out on Joe Allen was our biggest transfer mistake. Yes, we miss Ash and Ayew but they wanted out and we had reasonable money. I was completely against the takeover and feared the current situation and like many I didn't agree with sacking FG or how it was done, but that is not BBs fault.
However bad things are at the moment, none of us help the cause by public criticism of all and sundry, especially individual younger players. Up to date The Liberty has largely kept behind the team. There is a long long way to go and there are certainly several teams above us who are capable of long runs without wins.
Creating a toxic atmosphere like Villa did only increases the chance of relegation. Albeit only 1 point to show but we competed against Citeh, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. If we can show that fight in all our games we will pick up points.
We can either just give up or do the best we can with what we have now and then see if we can add a solid midfielder, another winger and a full back in January.
I'm not ready for Championship football any time soon.

We just can't keep on churning out of the excuse that we've played the top teams.

Over a quarter of the season has gone and we have 5 points.

Yes it's bollocks. Burnley have taken seven points off Man U, Liverpool and Everton. We need to stop whining about the fixture list and start getting points.

It's still very early in the season though and all is not lost.

We have the players who can win games as they showed last season when Guidolin arrived and got us moving up the table.

I'm just more concerned about our style of play or lack of it. The movement, inter changing of positions, patient in possession, full backs getting forward , fast wingers attacking with intent, keeping the ball. All qualities we had in abundance. Central defence is also a massive problem. Fernandez is capable and so is Amat and they can develop an understanding.

And then the concern that the off field problems may affect the atmosphere at home games which could affect results. It's a worrying time and the appointment of Bradley may go down as the worst move since Cullis lasted a few days 20 odd years ago. Worrying times but time to put it right.....

I've said the same thing since we arrived in this league. We have to take points from the top teams or we will be relegated, and this has proven to be the case if you look at our results.

There is a school of thought on here that a good manager cannot do anything with a poor squad of players.
IMHO it is also the case that a poor manager can screw up a team despite having a squad of quality.
We are mid point in that argument.
The squad is not that great but it is not terminal. Unfortunately it looks at the mo like we have a manager right out of his depth.
Disaster in the making.
