Not your cup of tea then, mate! I thought it was really good. I thought the leads were excellent. And yeah, there's not too much of a plot other than a couple of people trying to traverse the tricky time lots of people go through at school and early adulthood. Whether that's your first proper relationships, moving away frrom home or finding yourself mixing in different social circles. I thought it captured all of that very well.
As for the posh houses in different countries - that world exists, doesn't it, especially when you're mixing with posh folk at Cambridge/Oxford/Trinity etc. |

All fair enough observations. Reading a few profiles on Sally Rooney, it's obviously heavily autobiographical. Not sure about score settling - don't you need to know about someone's past to some degree to understand their actions? And isn't it glum and moody because neither of the main characters are especially happy or at ease with themselves or the world? Anyhow, it resonated with me and I thought it was great TV. |  |
