I went to see Killing Joke last month. The Roundhouse. The sound was dogshit and I got splashed full on with beer by the sort of dickmuncher that takes a beer into a moshpit. I was very annoyed until about ten songs in when I found my brother and a viewpoint that didn't entirely suck.

The band were good. I've seen them many, many times and they can vary but this was a good night for them.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

They really aren't the same without Lee Brilleaux at the helm. Not bad still, but seeing them now just doesn't feel right. Brilleaux, Wilko, Gypie, Big Figure and Sparko, were Dr Feelgood. I just wish this current bunch, talented as they are, reverted to a different name and not made it look like some tribute act masquerading under the name of Dr Feelgood.

Yeah, to be honest it was essentially like a top notch tribute band really. Good beery fun though.

I'm pretty sure was either ZZ Top at the Brixton Academy or AC/DC at Wembley, hows a bloke supposed to remember all this shit?
That's why I didn't put a reply on that 'your first gig' thread, I couldn't remember who the fck it was but It was good, it was either Ten Years After or Hawkwind somewhere in Reading, could have been The Incredible String Band or Curved Air come to think of it.

Kiss made a right f uck up of Argent's brilliant "God Gave Rock and Roll To You"
Thought that should be mentioned.

Not my thing but have to say he was very good and worked the crowd!!! Also gave away his Fender to one of the crowd. Before that Jools Holland at the RAH where to my delight The Selecter joined him on stage for Last Train to Skaville and 3 minute hero!!
