The Official Rugby World Cup Thread on 21:56 - Oct 8 by perchrockjack | Best player? 3 scrums 3 penalties. He cannot adjust to scrum laws and Adam Jones was the same. Prop s priority is to secure the set piece as without that you cannot win test matches. |
Except last week at Twickenham? What an odd comment. Of course you can. You're right about the end of the hit doing for Jones, but Jenkins is a freak and our best jackaller, including Warburton and Tipuric. He'll be back for the business end of the tournament. Saturday is a shot to nothing.

The Official Rugby World Cup Thread on 10:41 - Oct 9 with 1713 views | Devz00 | I was thinking about this team last night, maybe it won't be typical boshing it down the middle. I've not seen Anscombe play but apparently he makes good use of the Garryowen? If that's the case, maybe we will see the ball in the air a lot. We'll have 2 specialist kickers - North, Doc, Cuthbert, chasing kicks. Liam williams is superb in the air as well, 2 open sides to chase the ball down looking for turnovers. Paul James in for his scrummaging so maybe we are expecting more knock ons than usual. Again, if the ball is up in the air a lot there's more chance of line-outs so Charteris in there to win line out ball. Maybe i'm reading too much into it though
| Genetically, paedophiles have more genes in common with crabs than they do with you and me. Now that is scientific fact. There's no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact. |

The Official Rugby World Cup Thread on 21:10 - Oct 8 by Uxbridge | What I couldn't believe in the run up to that game was the amount of people thinking England would win because they had to. That was precisely the reason I knew they wouldn't, that and their scrummaging being dismantled in the press the week before. Agree the Aussies are being built up to be more than they are, but they're still awfully good. I'd be a lot more confident if we didn't have half our best XV injured. |
Our games with Australia are normally close, I think we'll come out on top in this one. 21-18

True to form, I think we'll get mullered. We'll kick away possession and get utterly mutilated by their back three, James will get pinged to porthcawl in the scrum, and North's defence in the centre will be Matthew Morganesque. Wales 10 Oz 32

The Official Rugby World Cup Thread on 11:20 - Oct 9 with 1669 views | perchrockjack | Nope,GEORGE will destroy Giteau, Falau will see his injury find him out and our scrum will be solid enough for Dr Bob to enjoy some ball in hand. Wales 28.. Convicts.17

I admire your pessimism. I'm with our kiwi and think it'll be a score or so either way, but I'm edging to the shackledraggers.

The Official Rugby World Cup Thread on 16:46 - Oct 10 with 1461 views | ImAlrightJack | Gutted for Japan, the IRB are to blame for making them play only four days after beating South Africa. Samoa made stupid, stupid mistakes especially the first Scottish try. First team to go out of round 1 after winning three games it looks. They won't get such an opportunity again, the same goes to Albania's football team tomorrow. One result as a neutral didn't work out for me, so I hope this one does tomorrow. Anyway, Wales are about to start.

Back up to 15 now and we've blown it.On this performance and a bit of a luck with no injuries I think we could beat the Boks.

Cos its all about beating the saes Perch. Pathetic mentality. If a though kiwi like Gatland can't sort us out then what chance do we have. At least they can have a gala dinner in ten years time celebrating knocking England out...

The Official Rugby World Cup Thread on 18:45 - Oct 10 with 1340 views | phact0rri | Well plus side we didn't concede a try either. though statistically it was always going to be a match of penalties... shame we gave more away.

First one, just not clinical it's happened so many times in the recent past it's no coincidence
