NON QPR - Unlocking mobile phone 12:21 - Sep 14 with 3060 views | Lblock | Has anyone used one of these internet sites rather than a mobile phone shop to unlock a mobile phone? I have a Nokia Lumia on PAYG Vodafone which I want to unlock so the missus can use it for T-Mobile. I've seen websites that do it for you at around a fiver but for obvious reasons I'd sooner use one that someone has used before trouble free. Thanks in advance

Okay I assume this can be any mobile phone shop or should I avoid the chains like Carphone a Warehouse and Vodafone?

NON QPR - Unlocking mobile phone on 14:44 - Sep 14 with 2972 views | Juzzie | Ditto. I used a local high street shop. Cost £25 but peace of mind. God knows what/who you are dealing with over the 'net.
NON QPR - Unlocking mobile phone on 00:23 - Sep 15 with 2808 views | QPRMUSO | I would not recommend using any 3rd party website for unlocking a mobile phone as so many either do not work many a time or they are outright scams. If you want to go 3rd party, take it to any market phone stall or mobile specialist shop however it's still recommended to go via the original channel. So through Vodafone, they charge £20 if the phone was bought under 1yr ago. Over 1yr old, it is free of charge. Either way, you can do that in their stores, online or over the phone.

This is usually stamped on a label where the battery sits. It usually takes one/two days for them to unlock the phone so that you can use what ever SIM you choose to use.
