I've not been around for a little while enjoying Christmas and the new year but been checking in from time to time.
I understand you have banned two Planet Swans legends and why?
I've noticed your over reactions time and time again of late and I think you forget you are the Trust Chairman when you react so. You have repeatedly banned Spratty also and it's all too pathetic.
Don't cross swords with these guys if you can't take it Phil. I've read your comebacks to them and me and sitting in front of the buttons doesn't give you carte blanche to decide who stays or not.
This site would be nothing without its characters and for every person thatgets on your tits there's others that enjoy what they have to say.
You clearly can't take any heat and that worries me in your position especially with big decisions about to be made.
There are posters you let run havoc on here that are universally hated, even by your close friends and associates and there are many a good poster that has left because of them. We've all got the option to ban by simply pressing ignore as you keep instructing posters to do....that is until you lock horns with them, they make you look silly and you ban them.
Grow up, grow a set and don't post if you can't take a little flak. If you allow the likes of Darran, Jackfath and Dick free roam on here you should be man enough to allow Shaky and Parlay.
I look out for these guys posts along with selected others and they make the place worth visiting.
It's petty and childish and you should be above that in your important position, don't forget that.

Absolutely, it just seems some are making out they were trolling or were not allowing other people opinions, which of course would be disingenuous because that couldn't be further from the truth.

This went well...
T2C is, and always has been, a superb poster when talking about football, but lets himself down by allowing himself to get very personal and aggressive with people who don't follow his line of thought. I've been on the end of it myself a few times - he knows how to cut deep and always makes it personal from the off - plays the man not the puck.
He also gets it full barrels from others as well though; it's like a destructive circle - he's very aggressive, so others feel they can throw pretty much any abuse at him as they can muster from the depths; He get's more abuse than anyone; It's just a race to the bottom of the barrel when he and Perchie get going. Do I think T2C is a hater of disabled people and women? - of course he isn't. Nor is PRJ a disgrace to his family. Why does it need to get to that point FFS!
I personally don't see why Parlay and Shaky need to be banned. Shaky is often very close to the bone, but is rarely, if ever, openly abusive; and is one of the more engaging posters on here - a lot of posters I rarely ever click on their posts as they're just inconsequential candyfloss - at least Shaky has a bit of substance and steps up to the plate.
I've never seen Parlay be overtly abusive or even swear. You know what you're getting with him, so just deal with it - either strap in and fight the futile fight for 2000 pages, or leave him have his victory.
I know Spratty hasn't been banned on this occasion, but why he was ever banned is utterly ludicrous in my mind.
This isn't a bash at Phil at all - I often feel a bit sorry for him, as this forum is like a mad combo of rampant teenage classroom and a room full of 2 years olds all merged into one. He has a life to life outside of this, and probably wished we all just got on with it like adults; I'd have checked-out long ago.
I'll end with the word of one of this forum's greatest, and sadly absent recently - posters...

I thought Shaky and particularly Parlay were excellent on the Ched Evans thread.
I also think that any point T2C may have is completely invalidated by his personal insults and threats to meet people.
Maybe you should either set-up another Trust or try to get on the current one and challenge Phil that way? You might get a respect for what he has to deal with?
Same goes for this site. Darran can be very blunt at times but that is about the worst of it from what I can see. Maybe you should set up a competing website to show everyone how much better you can run it than Darran and Phil? You certainly have the gumption for it. |  |
