Great team performance.

I'm just slightly puzzled by Redmond bring MOTM though. He had a good work rate and was their for passes but his final ball was frequenly shocking and very wasteful. I think 3 on the bounce went for goal kicks.

MOTM, for me, was JWP who scored and along with OR bossed midfield. However it really was a team effort today.

Redmond had another off day in my opinion, his shooting has still a long way to go to get back where he was last year.

Top result and performance to go with it.

Everyone played well - but perhaps our weakest performer was Redmond, who Sky have their MOTM award.

Well worked and executed goals - just a shame the Armstrong effort was disallowed for an off side in the build up.

The red card, deliberate or not, was deserved for serious foul play. Bernard was lucky not to get a red too, after a bad foul when already on a yellow.

After the red, Everton pretty much gave up and Saints played it round nicely, keeping possession and securing the win.

Another goal or 2 would have been great, but we would all take 2-0 at the start.

Great to keep the Prem hot shot DCL under wraps with no shots.

MOTM - difficult to choose between Best, Tom, Ings and Adams. For me, ROM just shaded it.

Our form since the restart last season:

P 15 W 8 D 4 L 2

Over a whole season that would leave us with 71 points, which would usually be good enough for top 4.

I think it's L3? Didn't we lose 2-0 to the Arse just after the restart? But still great form and we're taking points off the top six and away from home.
