| News Comment | All the time in the world - Report at 18:35:28
Clive, another superb description of the encounter with Preston NE. The game against Birmingham, though we were winning there was no apparent time wasting on our part, but in games when we are losing, it's atrocious with no action taken by the referee. When the stats are published, possession of the home & away sides are given. Should there also be a time when the ball is NOT in play. If it exceeds a certain figure the referee should have to explain the reason & the lack of action on his part |
| News Comment | Alarm bells ringing after another Barnsley humbling - Report at 18:14:38
Hi Clive, another masterpiece. Someone who didn't play much football. I was a senior manager,& in my opinion, I am amazed how inept QPR are. As a group of players are constantly in contact with one, rivalries & clicks are established. In my view Warburton never appreciated Manning, when Manning excelled & got MOM he even left him out of the next game. Resentment creeps in & when Manning & Bright were asked to extend their contract I think they would have, but I believe the terms weren't to their liking. Manning is as good, I my opinion better than Wallace; was the offer to him on a par, similarly Bright's offer, did it compare favourably to Carroll. Go into any workplace & when the pay rises & bonuses are announced, it creates resentment |

kingfisher6404, I would have both Eze & Chair in & left out Wells. Eze & Chair would take it in turns to play just behind Hugill |
| News Comment | Scout’s honour — Preview at 18:33:39
Just saw the possible line-up for tonight's game against Birmingham. Don't think it is a good idea to play Wells alongside Hugill. Wells is not quick & tires after 60 minutes. Bring him on after 60 minutes, when fresh & the opposing defence is tiring. Play Eze & Chair behind Hugill with Pugh in front of Manning, falling back when Manning overlaps & the same applies with BOS in front of Kane. Cammeron in the centre with the usual back three & Lumley in goal |
| News Comment | QPR on Eze street as Warburton changes tack - Report at 14:28:42
Regarding Lumley being criticized for his goalkeeping, reminded me of John Spencer when being asked some inane questions. One being "What position would you NOT like to play in a QPR team" Answer "Goalkeeper" asked why "With that ***** defence in front of me" I contend that the confidence of a goalkeepers is enhanced by the players in front of him |

Thanks for the report. What i was looking for was the team sheet. Did Furlong play? I believe he is an outstanding player & should captain the side, but, I think he has been side-lined by Warburton. Judge from Ipswich should not be considered as he's TOO Old & not a player for the future. |
| News Comment | Down to the Wood — Column at 15:36:49
From the outset I didn't want Warburton as Manager, he lives in the past & is NOT progressive. He relies on players from clubs he has been with previously, who are now of a pensionable age & susceptible to injuries. The four loan players we had last season should not have been considered by him, yet he has brought back Rangel & possibly Cameron. They were injured for most of last season, but his assessment were thay were good in the dressing room? The loss of Paul Smyth to Wycombe is criminal, Chair will be next |
| News Comment | QPR back from the dead with random Swansea trouncing — Report at 11:23:07
Well, what a transformation from previous weeks. I agree with toboboly, The incident with James & Cousins was right in front of me. James tried to barge his way through, when Cousins didn't politely step aside he toppled over & grabbed the ball. In my opinion, hand ball, Free Kick to us. In previous comments I made Manning MOM though on two occasions he was on the bench & once he was AWOL. He has only played because Bidwell was injured & what an excellent game he had. I gave Hemed, Scowen & Manning performance ratings of 8, but overall Scowen gets my MOM |
| News Comment | Spot the difference, QPR annihilated at Norwich - Report at 14:23:55
My MOM is once again Manning. After Cousins' dreadful performances over the last few games how could anyone chose him. He destined to leave, I sincerely hope, at the end of the season, there is no earthly chance of his contract being extended, he has nothing to play for, so "WHY" play him. I keep banging on, ALL the loan players should have been sent back in the New Year & the youngsters introduced to prepare them for the 2019/2020 season. All season ticket holders should have a say in choosing the New Manager. Definitely NOT Sherwood |
| News Comment | Runners and riders - Column at 18:15:06
The media promoting Sherwood as the manager of QPR is ridiculous. He was only the caretaker manager at Spurs saying he wanted job, so he didn't get it. Most unsuitable for QPR, he's arrogant & ready to blame everyone but himself. The last time he applied for the QPR manager's job, he made so many conditions, he didn't get it. Lee Bowyer for me, he is suffering under the same conditions at Charlton so he knows what to expect. Also as a bonus he brings with him Steve Gallen, one of our own |

Hi Clive, Many Thanks for your reports. I await with anticipation to read the beautifully crafted, incisive & a well documented accounts of the games. Prior to the New Year I stated that the loan players had done their job. We were probably safe with a few points from the remaining games that would ensured that QPR stayed in the Championship. For the many years of being a season ticket holder, I believe the older players, plus thirty, are more prone to suffer injuries in the inclement weather of January & February. I would have returned ALL the loan players to their clubs as now was the time to blood the younger players in the first team in preparation for the following 2019-2020 season & see whether they are capable to make the transition. I know it was facetious but I made Manning MOM for the two games he was on the bench & he would have been MOM for the game against Bolton. Was he AWOL.? Finally there are only seven games remaining, for a new manager to come in now, would not be sensible, let Chris. Ramsey, who knows the players take over, & then appoint someone who fully appreciates the problems in managing QPR |
| News Comment | QPR fall in familiar Preston hole — Report at 13:36:11
Clive, I read your reports & as a season ticket holder of many years, agree with most of your comments. I have maintained for sometime that Matt Smith was Holloway's type of player, hoof it long with the hope that something comes of it. He has come on as a substitute with NO benefit to the outcome. On Saturday he came on when 1-0 down & though he scored a goal, we let in three. Cousins is also not of a standard & because of his age should not be persevered with. As we are safe from relegation, get rid of the loan players & bring on the youngsters |
| News Comment | Hemed stops the rot with debut goal - Report at 18:24:56
Great report as usual Clive. You gave freeman 6. Since he hasn't had his transfer, as you have said, he has been sulking. Also there has been a lack of interest in playing for QPR, except for his contribution of hitting the side netting in this game, I thought he was dreadful |
| News Comment | Holloway’s best and worst — Column at 17:36:51
Brilliant analysis of Holloway's Management of QPR. I would not have hired him in the first place. I my opinion never ever have someone back you have previously employed, Also, in giving him a contract, it should have been till the end of the 2016/2017 season with the option of a year's extension. This would have been sufficient time for him to prove himself & so justify a possible further year |
| News Comment | QPR fightback floors Fulham - Report at 17:53:06
A number of subscribers mentioned the inability of the injured Scowen of not playing. If he did play, who would have been left out, Manning? I thought he put in very good, worthwhile performance linking with Furlong |
| News Comment | Terry exposed on QPR’s Free and Eze night — Report at 14:55:55
Brilliant Report Clive, I was so anxious to read your interpretation of the game. i checked every hour on Wednesday to see whether you had published it. At the end of the season you should publish your reports in a booklet, so QPR supporters could have a recap. & the fair weather fans could see what they are missing |
