| News Comment | Ferdinand a name made for QPR success at 11:32:14
Are these rushed signings? Possibly, but this is not the fault of Neil Warnock, the players or the new board.Had the takeover happened in May, chances are, Ferdinand would not be here..who really knows. Thing is...we cannot look back,we have to look forward.Like many, I was at the Bolton game, and saw us lose to an average at best attacking line. The opening game of a campaign where all bets are off and any result could happen. But , it never looked likely that we would get a result( In my opinion). Sure, i would have liked Dann etc etc...but maybe next season.I think the signings we have made, are the best possible we could have given the time scale.I think the owners have now given us a good chance to challenge for that ultimate 4th from bottom spot and maybe a little beyond...for me..that would be a result. For the record and please don't laugh..i actually think gabbidon looks ok. Fair play to the new board in all its efforts to get these new players in...and looking forawrd to the Newcastle game with renewed optimisim |
| News Comment | A distraction or an opportunity? QPR face Rochdale — full match preview at 17:05:24
I agree with Norway R, we have fewer games this season, plus there will be a certain amount of our squad that may still need a few games under their belts. No reason why Bothroyd, if fit and recovered, could not get 45 mins under his belt.Plus, and although we have been told that new players will be arriving, there are a few players that need to be tested. If we are going to keep the likes of PVM Perone Hogan etc as squad players, then games like these they must shine.Orr Connolly Buz Heidar i guess will all get games and Cook and Rowlands.Even a team featuring these players, should be too strong for Rochdale, if they take the game in the professional manner they should. |
| News Comment | This Week — Heading home, a broken team from a broken system at 15:52:02
A very good piece Clive, but you could have just said....we are and have been a very average International side since 1966.Maybe if England played as a team as opposed to a group of individuals, we might play better. Good points about the Bostocks, Sturridges etc.Time for an overhaul.Focus on a good qualification for 2014 even if it means missing out on the Euro's.Take a page from the germans set up.Never thought i'd be excited about watching a German side. But are our youngsters that good? Who cares, throw them in let them blend as a team...( A phrase used at QPR)....But it won't happen.Capello will stay in charge and i bet i can name at least 7/8 players on the next England team sheet. |
