| News Comment | Myths, scapegoats and excuses - Redknapp at 12:38:01
Another great piece, Clive. Oh that the mainstream press would be as analytical. Newstalk (a Dublin radio station) had some twunt from The Sun on last night backing up Redknapp's lies and going on about his knees, his wife's knees - the dog may have even got a mention. As others have said, now is the time to see out the season with the current staff, let Les do everything he can to maintain Premier league existence. The next 6 months could then be used constructively to source the right manager (not the one every fukcing paper is telling TF to appoint) with strategy, development and, ye know, the future firmly as the basis for any appointment. Its called management and its not a whole lot of nuclear physics. |

Thanks Clive, that is one of your better ones. Traore gave a performance of such ineptitude that it raises the question as to why it took "management" to wait 60 odd minutes to remove him. Hoilett wouldn't get on my son's under 14 side his use of the ball was so poor. The lack of a fast, skilful dribbling playmaker is the glaring weakness in the team. We have no one that can take the ball past an opponent at speed to create an opening - like Sanchez. Rosicky, Hazard, Fernando etc. The most worrying thing that I see is that a losing habit (away from home) has now developed which becomes self-fulfilling and the so called easier games away from LR now become much harder due to a losing mentality. Burnley in 2 weeks is no gimme, I'm afraid. |

Damn it, Clive, your prediction record is even worse than mine and now we have picked the same outcome. A draw would be bloody good result though. |

Thanks for the report Clive. As you said on Friday, effort, endeavour and passion are what we demand. The results, based on the last 3 games, are sure to come. We may even turn City over next week!! |
