I'm moving to Spain hopefully, by the end of this year and I've got a box of home programmes ranging from 1969 - 1976 that need to stay in the UK. The box measures 32cm by 11cm and is full. Free to anyone or any need Collection from Langley near Heathrow. [Post edited 5 Mar 2019 10:04]

A shining example of how this country builds public figures up, only to then knock them down. It's so English. What happened to England's only to date World Cup winning captain, was a travesty . Football as a whole should be ashamed how he was rejected. |

Just interested to see what people are thinking on here. We get a better performance but lose. Should McClaren go? We draw, but it's turgid stuff. Should McClaren stay? |

One game for collecting five bookings. Bloody typical. Puts in his best performance of the season to date and now we have to re-shuffle the back line! |

Remember him? Now playing for Hayes & Yeading in the Evostik League South. Missed a penalty on his debut. [Post edited 26 Aug 2017 7:36]

Just a question - my boy who is 17 right now and turns 18 in March 2018 - can I buy a Junior Membership for him? I have tried calling the club, but can't get through! Thanks in advance. |

I was talking to a supporter in the Paddock during the Newcastle game and he said that he had a contact 'close to the club' and they were of the opinion that JFH is literally running the players into the ground with his drills. That might not be as daft as it sounds. Are we over drilled? Looking at our players against Newcastle and then Huddersfield, there was very little of that 'pressing, high tempo' game that was JFH's watch word. Are we already burnt out, thanks to too much drilling in training? |
| Forum Thread | Rufus Brevett New Villa Manager! at 13:01 17 May 2016
That's Hanworth Villa.......not Aston! http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/headlines/former-qpr-defender-brevett-named-as-new Hanworth Villa have announced the appointment of former QPR and Fulham defender Rufus Brevett as their manager for the 2016-17 season. Brevett will be assisted by head coach Bobby Watson with the rest of his team yet to be announced.brevett He has previously managed at Arlesey Town in the Southern Premier and more recently coached at Banbury Utd. A statement released by Villa read "This is a significant high profile signing for Hanworth Villa FC as we look to improve on our 7th position finish in the Cherry Reds Combined Counties Premier division last season. The club has experienced some upheaval over the last 2 seasons with regards to the manager’s position. "The playing staff has largely remained unchanged except for some notable additions this season and the remit is to keep this group together and add the necessary quality where it is needed. "Hanworth Villa Chairman Gary Brunning said “It is very flattering that Rufus has agreed to join us and I am sure he will provide the necessary guidance and strong management that the team needs to be successful at this level. With Bobby Watson as head coach there is a direct link to Hanworth Villa as Bobby knows the people and players involved and can help Rufus to get the most out of the players quickly” "Rufus commented “On meeting the chairman and Dave Brown it was very clear that we all wanted the same thing. Hanworth Villa finished last season 7th and myself and Bobby will be looking to improve on that, I know we have a set of good players and everyone will be given a chance to impress. I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead” "No doubt this news will come as a surprise to some but for those who know Hanworth Villa a plan exists for the continued improvement of the club on and off the pitch and this appointment fits within the clubs ambition to climb the football pyramid when that opportunity arrives" Source: Hanworth Villa FC |

Anybody think he might be of use to us? (Taking that he doesn't want to retire, etc!) |

Hi fellow R's fans! First time on here....I don't usually frequent forums, but, if I do, they have to be 'the best'.....so that's why I'm here! A little background. My first game was Arsenal at home in 1976. I have held a season ticket on occasion in between playing amateur football (mainly for British Airways....have played with Martin Francis & Peter Downes!) and then over the last 16 years have been singing in a tribute band, the last 6 years in a band in Germany, which pretty much rules a lot of Saturday home games out. But, I try to go to as many games home & away as humanly possible. My only son, is also an R. Here is is something amusing. I went to the 86 Milk Cup Final. Rangers lost. I couldn't make the Sheff Wed game at Hillsborough when we got promoted. The game against Watford when we won 2-0 and regained our place in the Premier League, I was on a plane bound for Lanzarote. The Leeds game where we lifted the trophy, I was in Lanzarote. The Man City game where we lost, I was on a plane coming back from Germany. And yes, you guessed it, the Play Off Final.....I was in Sasbach, Germany for a show. I get the feeling that every time Rangers need a positive outcome, I should be nowhere near the ground!!
