Seeing how well Chair has played in the last two games compared to the few weeks before, maybe the effect of fasting for Ramadan has had a greater impact on his performance than we appreciated? |

Interesting to note that yesterdays starting lineup cost just £750k, Willock, with Hayden on loan. Puts into perspective what Marti is working with. |

Fantastic goal for Wrexham. Wouldn’t mind a goal like that for us Saturday |
| Forum Thread | Eze part-ex at 08:15 17 Jan 2024
I see that Palace are supposedly in interested in in Phillips from Man City. Given City’s reported interest in Eze if a swap plus money deal was negotiated between the the two clubs does anyone know how how our sell on would be calculated? Obviously the deal would be worth more than any balance of money involved but who calculates the overall value of the deal? |

Just did a quick count up and in 2023 I attended 20 games and saw us win twice, a 10% success rate. Is it all my fault? or did anyone have a worse success rate than me? |
| Forum Thread | Scandi Strikers at 08:10 4 Nov 2023
With the recent sponsorship deals and the potential sale of Chair, or Dykes, or anyone! does anyone know anything about the the standard of strikers playing in Scandinavia? It’s been reported that MC has been playing with quite a young strike force and I would assume that he’d have quite a good handle on players playing in these countries so Are they good enough to score in the Championship and How much, realistically, would they cost? |

| Forum Thread | Colombia trip at 14:16 26 Jun 2023
It was reported a few months ago that Belk and Les went to Colombia on a scouting trip. This poses a few questions. Presumably, they wouldn’t have gone all that way with the expense it would have incurred on a whim so it seems likely that certain targets had been identified. Since then it’s all gone quiet. So a couple of thoughts, Are these sort of overseas trips a regular thing but we just don’t hear about them? Not sure about that with our budget problems. Would these targets likely to have been data driven, ie Belk spots? Now that Les has gone are these targets now off the table? I understand that it’s likely nobody will have any answers but I’d be interested in hearing what others think |

Gareth Ainsworth is the guest on this week’s podcast. First 20 minutes is a one on one interview which covers some interesting topics, he then chips in throughout the rest. Well worth a listen. |
| Forum Thread | Should we be a development club. at 16:07 19 Mar 2023
We constantly hear that the only way forward for us is to be a development team bringing in players on the cheap, bringing them on and selling them for a profit. I think that we need to have a serious rethink about this for a number of reasons. The crash in value of Championship players. I think we have missed the boat regarding “doing a Brentford “. If you discount the chances of a once in a decade Eze, how much are Chair, Willock and Dieng now worth? Having the best first team squad possible. Instead of selling Rangers as a club where you can come, improve and sell on , why not just get players who want to play for the club NOW and see it the place to be? If that means they are slightly older, so what? There’s always a place for a Richard Dunne, Nelson and for those of us who are a bit older, McClintock and Webb. Luton and especially Millwall have definitely gone down this route, signing players who fit team now and both are in the playoffs with a chance of making the Premier League. |
| Forum Thread | Manager gets what manager wants at 09:41 21 Feb 2023
There’s been a lot of talk about this and how the DOF set up should prevent giving in to the manager’s demands. But, but, but……. Ainsworth has had 10 years watching and studying lower league football and has probably more knowledge of players at that level than our DOF. Surely it would be foolish to ignore players that he thinks would do us a job that maybe he wouldn’t have been able to afford at Wycombe? |

Hi all, I’m lucky enough to be going to Iceland for a few days at the end of the month. The middle part of our stay is planned out with various activities, sights etc but we start and end with a day in Reykjavik. Have any of you stayed here? I’m looking for places to visit, eat and drink. Thanks in advance. |
| Forum Thread | Sign a f*cking striker at 11:08 30 Dec 2022
Hi all, first post from a long time lurker. We all know we need to sign a striker, but how about signing the RIGHT striker. Our last three major purchases have been Washington, Bonne and Dykes al costing around £2M each. The first two proved to be total duds and, to me, Dykes is much more of a traditional target man who needs a real striker playing off him. That said, he should still score more than he does. It baffles me that our recruitment team that has got it so well in other parts of the pitch have such a blind spot when it comes to strikers. Since we signed Dykes Luton have got in Adebayo, 16 goals last season, Morris, two goals last night, both of which beat us up in the away game also and Woodrow for less than we paid for him. Also, how could anyone have looked at Roberts and thought that he’d be worth £4.5?.While we were looking at the Brighton reserve team and getting Mlakar, remember him?playing alongside him in the same team was Gyokeres who went to Coventry on a free and ripped us a new one a few weeks ago. All the more baffling when our DoF was such a great striker. Strong cheddar in sandwiches and Applewood on the cheeseboard |
