| News Comment | Unlikely hero ends QPR’s away day blues — full match report at 02:12:26
Neil Barnett - 'wouldn't piss on him even if he was on fire' is about the most apt phrase that comes to mind when that arrogant, pompous, dim-witted and repugnant muppet is discussed. Favourite moment of the match (other than the goal and full-time) was when that prat started to patronise the Rs supporters and he was immediately drowned out by our chanting and just ended shutting up and sitting his fat arse back down again, much to my delight. Had me in absolute stitches to see that. If only I saw his face that you so gleefully described when we scored, that would have been immense. If anyone has a picture of it, please post?! Great report as always. Only downside is that it was definitely the best night of the year and it was only Jan 3rd. Finally, absolutely fantastic support by the Rs supporters. Couldn't hear the Chelscum one bit 'cus the noise coming from the Shed End was deafening for the entire 90 minutes. Brilliant! |
| News Comment | QPR’s summer of optimism blown apart for super soaraway Swans — full match report at 11:52:10
After a Summer feeling full of optimism (perhaps not as much as some), it's now a genuine feeling of worry for this season. I think you've hit the nail on the head here Clive. Yes there are several issues at the moment, but tactical tweaks, training routines and time to gel, those issues should be rectified within a matter of weeks. My only real concern, like most, is our new keeper. I would've backed Paddy to have saved at least a couple of those goals. Why, oh, oh why did we not splash out a relatively meagre £4 million and get Foster who is a much better keeper. Now that that option is no longer possible, I would give Green the Norwich game to drastically improve or get someone else in. Jack Butland?! Looked excellent at the Olympics and if you pick him up now and he counties his development he'll be worth 10 times that in a few seasons. I don't normally dismiss a player so readily but I genuinely fear for our Premier League survival if Green stays playing at that p*ss poor level. And to think I was spending the Summer looking forward to a no-thrills Rangers team ending up in mid-table mediocrity for a change. QPR don't do anything the bloody easy way. |
| News Comment | No excuses for QPR as Cisse returns for Bolton trip — full match preview at 00:39:15
I live in the 'Surrey commuter belt' but I'm still Rangers through and through though...just so you don't think everyone here is a complete cock. I am often disgusted to live near many Chelscum fans, and indeed players actually. FYI, John Terry is dispised by local residents for being such a c**t both as a footballer and a person. Anyway MASSIVE game tomorrow and both my head and heart are going for a good result. Cisse to score and 2 or 3-0. COME ON YOU Rs! |
| News Comment | Athleticism, power, strength — Hughes lays cards on the table at 00:54:04
Entirely agree with everything written here, in particular about Macheda and Onuoha. The former looks like a complete waste of time and money and wouldn't be surprised (but relieved) to see Macheda's loan deal cut short, especially as neither Campbell or Bothroyd have moved on in this window. As for Onuoha I think he is an absolutely brilliant addition. I thought exactly the same when I watched his interview. He spoke with intelligence, determination and has a voice so deep it makes Barry White sound like a pre-pubescent choir boy. Seems like a great lad, with great ability and has many years ahead of him. Only disappointment in this window is the lack of a wide-man. With Mackie putting in plenty of effort but in truth lacking real quality and SWP consistently under-performing, I was hoping for either Pienaar or Junior Hoilett (or both). Let's hope like you say that Traore is used further up the pitch. Still, I agreed with Sparky that we were lacking a physical presence and now we have it with these new additions. I'm optimistic that Ferdinand and Onuoha will form a solid partnership at the back and with Cisse and Zanora we'll finally have a goal threat when Helguson isn't playing. The team is certainly good enough to stay up, it's now up to the players to gel quickly and prove themselves at this level. Let's hope Barton steps up too, he has been left wanting nearly all season. |
