In a relatively poor game, we created enough chances to win but didn't take one. Generally felt that Sunderland were there for the taking and that we needed to play with more pace and urgency in our passing. Too often, passes were sideways or backwards and just too safe. When we added Sinclair's pace the chances started to come - Willock should have scored the pull back from Armstrong.
Overall, as none of our relegation rivals won, it's a point gained but frustrating that it wasn't more. |

Difficult to score some of the players as the performances between 1st and 2nd half were so different. Thought Drewe did ok first half but then got torn apart in the 2nd Before he was subbed.
Armstrong probably had his best game but he did tire in the 2nd half (as did others) which contributed to us not pressing as well as we did in the 1st half and giving Bournemouth a much easier ride. |

My first live game of the season. Really impressed with the midfield 3 of Scowen, Luongo and Freeman. Thought Luongo was really unlucky not to score - he had a couple of fantastic shots. |

Poor - we were too slow, didn't move the ball quickly enough and too narrow, didn't use the space down the wings or stretch the defence. Smithies made several good saves (again).
Ref was very fussy and seemed to allow the home side to get away with challenges that he penalised Rangers for.

I was impressed with some of the delivery from Vaagan Moen and his great free kick at the end of the first half but worried by NW's comments about the number of injuries we've now got especially Jamie Mackie.
And where was Martin Rowlands? Would have thought he would have got some game time |
