I think that the club see Saito as a replacement for Chair - either they expected to sell Chair in the last transfer window or they expect to sell him in Jan. Maybe Chair's injury stopped him being sold at the end of the last transfer window. |

I wonder if not being picked in the England squad will encourage him to move to a bigger club (if given the chance) - agree with Ned that playing with better players will help him rather than trying to carry Palace. |

It's all on the reaction from Travis. Both players lunge towards the ball and Varane makes contact with the defenders ankle. Yellow not red. As mentioned in the thread, there was a far worse challenge on Anderson late in the 2nd half but because our players didn't react in the same way, the ref only gave a yellow. Shocking that a experienced ref is swayed by players reactions or lack of reaction, and didn't judge the challenges on what actually happened. Unfortunately, cheats prosper in modern day football. |

I don't think he is playing very well so far this season but he did get into some good positions in the box yesterday, and could have scored twice if it wasn't for some sliding blocks by Millwall defenders. |

I thought the ref seemed willing to give Palace a free kick for much less than for us. Also, some of our bookings were incredibly soft, Varane's was never a card yet Kamada (I think) got away with a definate yellow early on for a cynical hack nowhere near the ball which meant his 2nd cynical challenge, which he did get booked for could have been a 2nd yellow, or more likely, he wouldn't have committed the foul and we would have been away on the break. Often seems to happen when a ref with Premier League aspirations refs a game between a Premier League side and a side from a lower division. Same happened in the FA Cup game earlier this year against Bournemouth. |

I didn't really understand why Bannan bothered with all of the ear-cupping and gestures towards us - he thought he had won the game so why not just go and celebrate with your own fans rather than trying to wind-up the away fans. |

Just finished listening - really enjoyable. Jim's views are always good to hear, given his experience although I agree with Simmo over Jim on Ticketmaster! I'm optimistic about this season and the signings we've made although tomorrow at Sheff Weds is the first game this season I'm actually going too, so that might change. |

I've had the same emails too . I would guess that they are more likely to sell out for India than they were for Sri Lanka |

A bit I find interesting is the report that his agency MC Saatchi also no longer represents him and his profile on the site now displays a “page not found” notice. Wonder why they have dropped him? |

Luton have signed 23 year old central defender Mark McGuinness from Cardiff after 86 appearances in 3 years - fee reported to be upto £10 mil with add-ons. Spent half of last season injured. So if JCS goes, surely worth a similar amount? |

It's the same with Solly March at Brighton - commentators always seem to use his full name and never just say March. |
