Yeah, fair play to anyone sticking their neck out to go on a podcast. He wasn’t a natural, and I didn’t agree with most of his opinions, but sounds like he’s a good fan and entitled to his views as much as anyone else. |

This is absolutely mind-blowing.
It's the sort of thing you'd expect to happen at QPR (naturally), but probably to a youth-teamer or reserve player.
For it to be QPR's best player, most-sellable asset....mad. |

I have no idea how 'market value' of sponsorship is worked out. I imagine there must be rules around this, to stop owners essentially donating income to the clubs.
One thing that does occur to me around the value of Stoke's sponsorship vs ours: I suspect fans visiting their stadium are more likely to do online betting, than fans visiting Loftus Road are to invest in Mittal steel or put any money the way of whatever the hell it is that Matrade do.
It's all well and good us fans saying "Why didn't the owners do this sponsorship lark sooner, there's easy cash they could have been giving QPR every year?"
But what's in it for Matrade? Is this sponsorship really worth much to them? |

The speculation that it's a "mental health issue" is generous based on what we've heard and seen. (Whether it's true or not, I have no idea.)
It's a lot easy to extrapolate from all the information we've seen (whether unfairly or not), that this is a case of severe unprofessionalism. |
