And actually everybody trying to play the same way as Man City has been a completely flawed tactic for the last decade because at the end of the day they'll just spend another billion quid and be better at it than you with better players.
I personally find that sort of football every bit as tedious to watch as Pulis-ball. |

There were a few things going on at Cov.
Firstly, they always start badly and come on strong. Or certainly have for the last few years. We had them fourth in our season preview. That group of players was underperforming significantly.
Secondly, Robins and his assistant fell out over the summer, and it was the assistant who did a lot of the heavy lifting by most accounts. It's why Robins hasn't moved the needle at Stoke. Why Stoke should have been more wary about that appointment.
Maybe Lampard is a better manager than many gave him credit for, but it was a really nice job to walk into at a well run club with a great recruitment team and a group of players you wouldn't have to do much with to get them performing significantly better than they were. |

Game's in a bit of a state in many ways isn't it. That was a complete farce yesterday. Since when has "I've got a loose stud" been a reason to stop a game for six minutes? Everybody knows what's going on, you've got Bartley standing there grinning and goading the away end, referee just stands and watches it all happen. All in the name of "shithousing" and "dark arts". We wouldn't have scored if we were still there now so it made no difference to the score but still, I just stand there and think it's a shame what the game has developed into. |

I'm a bit uncomfortable with this. If it hadn't been in a TV game would that have happened? If it had happened at Grimsby v Tranmere on Tuesday night would that have happened? |
