My Dad Wrote A Porno is up there as one of the funniest I’ve ever heard .

For true crime, Cold was very good, as was Bear Brook.

For investigative podcasts, Last Man Standing about the journalist John Cantlie, who ISIS took, was utterly amazing. The Lazarus Heist about North Korea’s hackers was also fantastic.

Lastly, a shout for British Scandal, just informative and entertaining.

Agreed, I dread not having a focal point for which all my weekend activities revolve around.

Thank goodness the NFL isn't an international sport.

Excellent, thanks Hayes!

A great era, probably my favourite to be honest - the WWs and the MWs

Nunn, Curry, McCrory, Kalambay, Barkley, Benn, Eubank, McCallum, Watson, Graham, Julian Jackson etc... plenty of KOs, and just a more colourful time I think.

Sky do a boxing gold which is often featuring fights around this era too.

Towards the end of the match, Nardi got his hands on the ball and was trying to release the ball to someone for a quick counter… everyone was behind him just strolling out… my wife, who had just sat down, laughed with pity, and I felt embarrassed.

Sigh.

I’m sure there’s a plan, but it’s not working yet - we haven’t found our identity.

Dunne looks exposed to me at CB now, I’m used to the class and composure of JCS in there. Santos just doesn’t seem up to it.

Saito had a better second half, but I’m not sure you could have him, Chair and Dembele in the same team - too much luxury. Saying that though, I missed Dembele’s first couple of games, and haven’t seen what got everyone so excited yet - I know he’s quality, but I’m not sure he’s being used in his best position.

Celar just looks like a clean cut Dykes.

We had so many opportunities, which I guess is a positive, but just not able to take them.

A properly frustrating night, the most annoyed I’ve been for a while.

This is shït.

Celar for some reason heading backwards to Hull in midfield, not once, but 3 times 👍🏼

If the object of this game was to aim for the guy in pink, we’d be out of sight by now.

So frustrating.

Anderson, Santos really poor tonight.

Not really seeing anything from Saito, Dembele.

Really good first 10 minutes, but architects of our own downfall here.

Boxing AJ v Dubois
at 16:07 22 Sep 2024

Upfront, I’m going to point out that I love Iron Mike, and I was obsessed with him as a 10 year old.

But.

The era he mopped up could well be argued as being the weakest of them all. True, you can only beat who is in front of you, and what was in front of Tyson was an embarrassment. He had to beat James Smith, Trevor Berbick and Tony Tucker to unify the world titles, and along the way defend them against Pinklon Thomas, Larry Holmes, James Tillis, Tyrell Biggs etc… half decent at best (Holmes was past it).

I’m not dissing Tyson, he would have had an impact in any era, but his era was weak.

The HW is, and will always be, the division that gets the attention of Joe Public, but feathers up to MW is where the cream of the crop ply their trade.

Saying that, that ending was pretty incredible last night - AJ was getting battered, thanks to another complacent performance in the 1st,and caught Dubois with a beauty in the 5th - had he the ring craft and smarts, he would have taken a moment to stalk and finish Dubois, but he made the same mistake he did vs Klitscho and Ruiz and got excited and went to pour it on… the way he got KO’d was pretty epic.

I’m glad, and he should retire… I’ve got a feeling he’ll ask for the rematch, get it and win - setting up a 3rd with Dubois.

So, in terms of rumour and speculation, there is nothing concrete upon which we can build the mausoleum of Kolli's QPR reputation?

Shall we just move on and pretend this thread never happened?

Genius Eze inevitably wraps return narrative – Report
at 12:54 20 Sep 2024

Thanks Clive, great as always.

Whats the story behind this though?:

"He’s got a whole heap of analytics-driven summer signings that he didn’t necessarily want or choose who he has been charged with integrating, getting up to speed and adapting to English football."

is that true? I assumed he would have had a large say in it, no?

Boxing AJ v Dubois

I used to like Joshua, especially around that fight against Klitchsko - what a comeback and an uppercut.

That was before he started ranting on he mic after every fight, throwing Usyk's belts out the ring, and saying 'It is what it is' last time out... I just don't like the bloke.

He has looked better in his recent fights, more destructive, but there is always that chin to worry about.

I hope Dubois finishes AJs career, but neither will threaten the all-time greats in the HW division, regardless of becoming a 3 time world champ.

Wow, I can’t even begin to imagine.

Death and grief are hard enough, but it sounds like you had a lot wrapped up in each other with his illness and all that comes with that - it made for a great relationship though eh?

Sorry mate, take care of yourself.

Great Alex, nice one!

Although I think you could consider a name change… Perryscope.

In your opening para you tell us that you don’t go to every game, watch the game online at times… the periscope allows you to view from afar, or a place of safety, protected etc…

You could even use an avatar…

Or I could just shut up and get back to work.

Nice job.

Each England appearance is wiping ££'s of Eze's transfer fee.

We know he's a top player, but he looked almost calamitous out there last night.
