I hope he gets another look in the LWB role. Another shout to Marti for uncovering another coaching gem. |

Good analogy. But I see it closer to hiring cheap sub-contractors who have never done plumbing before and probably have language challenges. |

Good Post. 1. There is a core and unlucky that injuries etc have upset efforts to glue the bits together. 2. The recruiters have failed to address the striker position...period. But I do think CW was effectively replaced by KD. 3. Its hard to compare recruited players past to this new lot (yet), but all told we have NOT done well. we still wait and hope that sell on clauses for Eze and BOS materialize....soon. 4. Like many, I persist in thinking Andersen is taking away more from the game day effort than he is contributing by far. https://the72.co.uk/2021/06/21/controversial-ex-qpr-man-bright-osayi-samuel-near [Post edited 17 Oct 23:07]

To keep the dialog going; Marti already used Field as a CB to great effect. I too think EDB could be unlocked as a forward moving CM supported by Varane/Colback. He is short on confidence and more pitch time might help. |

Last week we poured out our comments and every single one is magnified in this game. No one outside of Cook deserves their pay today. Anderson should be released aka Cannon. We could have been 2 up inside the first half if Anderson could use the ball. Great positions, poor decisions. Dembele was great at running through middle. Dunne was absolutely awful. Again.. rather have field there. EDB would be better than Madsen. Saito was bossed. I would also prefer to see Walsh get a look in as #1. I can see why Hayden was valued so highly. I do think Varane, Colback Fox, JCS , Walsh and Chair . But some of this team today looked like they do not belong.. period! |

Interesting opinions all. To my point I look back on last year when Marti played a few players in games they should not have been in. Lately, I think we have universally questioned his stubbornness with Anderson. For me, I think Walsh deserves a shot. I was sure he would get a run last night. The other whiner is that Field was so good as a CB he should get another look in at the job. The Defensive unit with Dunne at RB, JCS, Cook and Paal is clearly far better than any other combo we have seen. |

Should have been done by the 31st August. Indicates to most that the club is feeling stable enough to make that statement. |

I think we should adjust expectations to include the possibility Chair is sold in January. Current lines effort may well be toward KD and Saito replacing him. Chair is still up there with the best talents in the 2nd tier so could be leveraged for the next round of imports. |

I do think all we have seen so far has been all about Marti shuffling his deck and trying to get different combos firing. That’s it. In my gentle opinion, we played Lutron x2, SHeff U (another parachute rich club) and 2 of our bogey teams from last year. Our only loss is to the club at the top. Agreed with the opinion, that KD needs to be the 10.. period. |

So, I (of course ) looked for his performance at the int break and saw he had an assist. I see him as a very different striker from Frey and possibly NOT the lone striker QPR are requiring for the 4-2-3-1 formation. |

I never do this, but I cant resist joining the festives. 1.-JCS . Day off Sat..Liam Morison ready for a run out too. . Ashby at RB is rested. Field only had a half game Sat. Considerate of rest (and the obvious Marti rotation policy), team Walsh, Ashby/Dunne, JCS Cook/Morrison Paal, Madsen, Field, Varane, Dembele Smythe Saito. |

Thank you for my blue & white fix for today. 1. Frey. I think he compares (favorably) to Chaz Austin. As as been much commented he was out of shape, but hopefully now has some oxygen therapy. I really do think the providers (Dembele, Saito, Paal et al) will provide him with plenty of opportunities. I also hope/expect Celar is more counterpart than partner. 2. Marti rotation: Based on a years sample, I estimate that Mats, Field, Colback, Varane will rotate in that MF triangle. I think Hayden was not as critical on the field as we often seem to remember him. I would dare say Field's play at the end of the season contributed FAR more. But it is about the whole recipe. 3. Contracts: EVERY team has pending free agents. But I do hope Paal gets a good offer and stays. As opposed to getting a take it or leave it. [Post edited 11 Sep 23:07]

Guys- I just don't see a place for Hayden especially with Mads and Varane added. |
