We fly out on the 18th November and have 12 nights booked in Dubai so will be using the shuttle flights to Doha for the three group games and then fly to Pakistan for a days to watch the first Test Match out there and then back to either Doha or Dubai again

To be fair the tickets are not a bad price and we get a full refund for any remaining up to the final if/when we get knocked out but could be looking at just over a month away from home if we go all the way

Its a great place to visit and a trip on the cable car is a must to have a beer in the bar overlooking the city but if going to Croatia then try and get to Split as well as its simply magical

I transited through Dallas Fort Worth a couple of weeks ago and it was really simple even though our first flight was late arriving
Customs have a system for getting you straight through immigration and straight back in to departures

Not the place to get a beer is Stoke but recently we have just gone straight to the hotel opposite the station which has quite a large bar at the back of the building and the staff are always fine with us popping in

Handy as well to get a taxi to the ground

Flying out on the 4th June with Makavelli and staying in Porto until the 10th then flying home via Marseille using Avios points

A few of us took a gamble with the flights out there and booked just before we qualified against Croatia

I booked a flight the other day from Cancun to Heathrow via Dallas without even thinking about the USA transit and only have 2 hours twenty minutes connection time though I am encouraged by the comments about using the same airline

The flight from Cancun to Dallas is with Quantas but operated by American Airlines and then its BA to London who are all part of the One World Alliance and tickets were purchased together so hopefully will fine

QPR fans had a fight between each other after the game in Wigan a couple of weeks ago as well in a pub by the station

Got tickets for all England games up to and including the Final so have about 10 flights in the first two weeks let alone after that if/when we qualify for the next stages

Have also booked On The Ball coach from Gdansk but possibly stay in Russia for a couple of extra days after our 2nd Group game

No one from our FA to be seen anywhere though they are getting plenty of flak on the official messageboard

We go back our Weds for the Wales game for a week and are staying the first two nights in Lille where of course Russia are playing and then heading down to Lyon for the final group game where hopefully it will have all died down a bit by then and then hopefully back to Paris when we win the group!

I got back yesterday evening from Marseille and just wanted to post a few facts about what went on

Apart from a large bunch of English fans gathered outside a bar right by the port singing and having a beer in the lovely sunshine who were nosiy but not causing any trouble in the slightest most of us were sitting outside small cafes just chilling with a cold beer enjoying the great views of the harbour

About 3pm though a large mob of Russians stormed down the side road we were in knocking women and kids over plus every table and chair and charged straight in to the England fans

Some of the hundreds of riot police actually ran away but the rest stood there and let it all happend until the England fans started fighting back and they then moved in with the tear gas and stun grenades not caring who they were aimed at and our small group of QPR fans including my wife were left choking on the gas with our eyes streaming

For the next 3 or 4 hours small and large battles happened all over the city caused mainly then by Marseille fans attacking any English they could find but especially very small groups and they could not care less if woman and kids were there but the police were absolutely awful and completely useless

Going to every game England up to and including the final if we get there plus a couple of non England games

The ban on booze is a bit of a media story as bars and restaurants are allowewd to sell alcohol on the day but all public places will be banned (as they are already) so hopefully should not be a problem but I am staying in Lille for that agme so will just try and get to Lens as late as possible

My season ticket is in the Upper Loft but I discovered earlier this year that I could gain entry using the Loftus Rd Lower Loft turnstiles by scanning my card

Only once it did not work and the very nice female steward in the blue jacket told me that strictly speaking I should not have tried but there is a glitch they cannot fix and so let me in with a nice smile

Went to see a pre season in Celje in the middle of Slovenia about five years ago,and also a pre season in Leipzig which turned out to be a 100 miles away from Leipzig in the end and also the mini tournament we won at Atalantas ground near Milan

Oh and the famous Ibiza trip of course

Passport was on the mat when I got home yesterday complete with Visa this time but was charged £175 and that was through the Enbassy and not even an agent !

I recently decided to use some air miles and on a spur of the moment booked return flights to Beijing next month not realising how difficult and expensive getting a Visa was but now I think thats all sorted at last was wondering if anyone had been to either and if they had any tips on what to do and eat etc?

Planned for the usual visits in Beijing with the Great Wall and Forbidden Palace of course but is there much else really to do there or should I fly or get the train to Shanghai a day earlier and see what that has to offer
