Worrying times, a huge huge gamble. It would have been better to give it to Curt - instead they have given it to a player who will be too close to his ex-teammates for comfort. Let us not forget the Chico Flores brick wielding incident. Maybe Flores was getting upset because Monk was making noises about becoming manager. At Cardiff, they have taken a gamble in bringing in Solskjaer - but at least he has managed a team. They did offer it to Bellamy, who turned it down. At Spurs, they gave it to Sherwood. But Sherwood is not close to the players in the way Monk is. Sadly, I think we will see any divisions get bigger - and I would love to be a fly on the wall there now. Will Monk keep us up? I think so, he knows the style, tactics, and players. But, and it is a big but, it depends on if the players are for him or against him. And that has to be united. If there are any divisions, we will crack. |
| Forum Thread | Last week, I thought there were 6 or 7 reasons that we wouldn't go down at 20:57 1 Feb 2014
Namely, West Ham, Fulham, Cr@pdiff, Palace, Sunderland and so on. Today, one of those reasons has disappeared, namely West Ham. When we beat Fulham last week, I swear I was stuck behind "Monmouth" (out of his armchair at last?) because this mug said "That is a good win, but we've done the scum a favour, and that isn't good". For people who think that way, I will remind them... P35 W8 D9 L18 Pts 33 That is our record since we won the League Cup at Wemberley. If you average less than a point a game, you are going to struggle. Our saving grace is that the Premier League is half filled with crap teams. However, our slump concerns me. We have two massive games against teams fighting for survival, but can we compete in a scrap? I mean, in a really ugly match against Stoke or Cardiff where they will do anything for a win, whilst World Class Laudrup sits and looks up at the rain clouds. Make no mistake, we will be in the bottom three going after the Merseyside double if we fail to beat at least one of Cardiff and Stoke. Things are not right in the dressing room. I mean, Chico does the strangest things, and can be a liability. Laudrup is no longer 100% in charge of team affairs - as the signing of Emnes tells us. Yes, things will look very healthy with 4-6 points in the next two games. But, anything less, and we will be in a dogfight - and I just don't think we have the mental ability to match some of those teams at the bottom who have been there all season. Some of them know how to survive, Allardyce, Pulis, Bruce. Some of them are eager to impress, Solskjaer and Poyet. We have Laudrup - so we had better hope our class starts to tell. Sorry if this seems negative, I have just had a crap trip back from London - awful weather for driving, and was nearly involved in an accident with White Van Man driving right up my arse. I don't think we will go down but we need to get out of that maelstrom of teams at the bottom sooner rather than later. |

Give me a break. Not much wrong in running the clock down, no need to be so sanctimonious about it. |

We need to win tomorrow - quite simply tomorrow will set us up as a top 10 side, or a bottom 10 side. The result of a relegation struggler doesn't affect us. Do you want a lift to Carrow Road? I am leaving at 5. |

Swansea not playing, so you spend a Saturday afternoon watching a game that you are watching simply to say a team is rubbish. Bizarre behaviour. You should have watched Everton v Fulham like me - that was a cracker. |

Why the outrage? The executed bloke has probably executed hundreds and hundreds of innocent people for similar crimes. |

Monmouth, you need to get to games mate. As poor as Cardiff are, we were beaten by them last week. Lots of our players were no-where near being at the races. Then, in Russia, we were quite fortunate to get a draw. We were hanging on against 10 men at the end. I know, I know, this post makes me a Scum T.W.A.T or something equally as insightful. But, I am a little concerned about our form right now. We will beat Stoke tomorrow though, but I think it matters just how well we play against them. |

Yeah, we went out of business. So what. We could do nothing about it. Cardiff got rebranded, their fans bought the shirts. That is the difference. |

I'd much rather get a decent crowd at a LoW team than put money into the pockets of the FAW. |

My concern is that Laudrup has two eyes on Europa. |

Had he knocked Campbellend into next week, he could have got a knighthood. |
