| News Comment | The Four Year Plan — review at 17:37:18
Things certainly seem to have lined up well for the documentary makers. When they started they had no idea that we would be promoted at the end of the season and that there would be all the drama over Faurlin's signing. All that is great drama for the documentary maker. |
| News Comment | Weekend Diary — Has Dyer played his last QPR game? at 10:34:11
Nice article. Thanks Clive. Agreed that the club owes Dyer nothing. He played 4 minutes and is being paid handsomely for that. A player needs to earn loyalty from a club and so far Dyer has taken the cash and provided nothing in return. |
| News Comment | QPR finally Puncheon above their weight — but at what cost? Guest column at 03:14:03
When I look at the transfers from last week I notice that there are teams spending 20 million 25 million and 35 million on individual players. While I agree that the wage bill will be a huge burden if we ever get relegated, but the actual spending on transfer fees was remarkably reasonable. Warnock chose to pick up players that others didn't want, believing instead that he could make something out of their "flawed genus". You are spot on that it is a huge risk for Warnock and a huge responsibility for him too. I see what he did with Adel and Derry and Gorks and so on, and think he has done it before, he can do it again. Time will tell though |
| News Comment | Barton completes transfer window’s most unlikely move at 21:57:25
Having succeeded beyond anyone's wildest dreams with Adel last season, clearly Warnock thinks he can tame the wild beast that is Barton. We are all hoping he will succeed again because having someone of Barton's talent at the heart of our midfield would "kick it up a notch" so to speak. It aint hypocricy, Clive -- it might turn out to be overly hopeful or even naive, but not hypocricy. there is a difference between JB and King. Maybe its only a matter of degrees, but things aren't always black and white; this is a world of greys. and in the real world, Barton's talent makes being overly-optimistic, the only realistic course to take. Thanks for another great article. |
