McNulty is BBM mk2 though only two divisions down from where we were under BBM.
Now I'm not defending BBM here at all but at least we had some memorable afternoons and evenings under him, what would you say is the most memorable thing from McNulty's reign?? A run to the last 8 of The FA Trophy??

Considering the level we are now playing at and the 'caliber' of the teams that we are failing to beat then yes he is worse than all of those that you have named, and boy does that take some doing! |

Perhaps I'm being a romantic but Hendo still shows that he has more football intelligence than Mitchell and Rodney in his sparse cameo roles for me. It's baffling that McNulty is restricting his time on the pitch but then most stuff that McNulty does baffles me. |

You've absolutely nailed it with that post!
I've never been a McNulty fan, he lost me after his first game in charge of his first caretaker spell after a 1-0 defeat at Gillingham when we were pointless and bottom of league 2 and he described it as a 'free hit'. I get that he was the cheap option when we were skint but the three year deal that he was given last summer was a joke and smacked of a another terrible Simon Gauge decision.
The sooner that Gauge and McNulty are out of our club the better. [Post edited 16 Feb 14:34]

The fact that he flirted with Burton doesn't bother me at all, it would have been an unbelievable bonus for us to have gotten compensation for him to leave the club.

I was happy for McNulty to speak to Burton, he would have left with my blessing and I would have dropped him off and happily picked the compensation cheque up on behalf of the club.
I would have thought that the players would have reacted in an opposite manner so much so that we were the first team that I put down for a win on my coupon this morning.
I actually doubt that we will make the playoffs under McNulty this season when really it should be the minimum expectation. |
