I think its been pretty average so far and a a bit scatter gun. I would have preferred to see quality over quantity.
Im glad we re-signed Downes and Taylor. Ben Brereton Diaz on paper looks an upgrade on Adams. But thats it. The defence will be weaker than last season if we lose KWP and it wasnt good enough with him.
A decent keeper will make all the difference and a leader in the middle of the pitch. O for a Jimmy case eh
Getting Ben Brereton Diaz looks a good signing. Ive no idea O'Riley is any good - but get a decent keeper in and we may have a chance of staying up. We need to as ever ship out a load of crap!
It will still cost the club signing on fees agent fees etc. I would also hazard a guess we end up subsidizing part of there wages. If not why don’t they just sign directly for Goztepe with the promise of a path to the premiership. Our resources should 100% be focused on giving the club the best chance of staying up. The defence as it is right now will get torn a new one in the premiership. The friendlys are showing it’s still leaky

Absolutely 100% spot on , this team 18th or 19th. Once KWP goes the defense will be worse than last season! We still need a keeper an experienced CB and a forward.
Ours owners haven’t come out and said they are buying other clubs to feed Saints. Actually I read that the Turkish club was the biggest club in the eyes of the owner- that might have been on here?? So far it’s been Saints doing the feeding. Bournemouth aren’t buying players then loaning them out. The other clubs buy players with a path way to the premiership.
I would imagine the Brazilian league is tougher than Turkey’s. As I said Tall Paul has been ripping it and yet dosent count because it’s only a minor league.
Anyone have a listen? They had the Bournemouth owner in there. He’s comes across very well, knows the club has limitations and they have plans to try and improve. The thing that stood out the most, was that they own multiple clubs, but the end game is to provide Bournemouth with players. Compare that to our owners who seem to be using us to build up their Turkish club. If you haven’t seen we are about to sign 2 Brazilians who are then off to Turkey.
I went to the home semi and the final. I was a milton muppet at the time and can remember singing " We'll be running round Wembley with out willys hanging out".
At the moment that defence will be conceding Circa 80+goals. With Armstrong and Adams gone we are actually weaker at the moment. Fact we tried to sign Delap tells you all you need to know about what we are looking for on the forward department . You might as well keep Tall Paul. Lots of low quality signings early, dosent make it smart business.
