Good news, it seems. Certainly better than it looked.

Asked a physio friend of mine, and he looked at the QPR statement. If it's a tear of the plantar fascia it could be months, apparently, but if it's plantar fasciatis (a heel spur) it could be anything from 0 to 6 months.

Hope that's accurate. It's not an injury I know much about, thankfully.

Good news that the club are telling us as well.
Fair play.

Was due a scan yesterday, according to Cifuentes, who says it's "the sole – a soft-tissue issue".

Very balanced conversation. Enjoyed catching up with it.

Some players have worked out nicely, some haven't, some might yet. I think that's fair to say, as it was fair to say under Ferdinand.

But the squad is chronically unbalanced in teerms of positional strength and style(s), and that's my concern. And that, imo, along with the injuries, is the main reason we've spent half a season playing poor football and propping up the division.

Vive le différence, Numpty.

Or, if you're in the mood, viva la vida loca.

That's where I am tonight, Ted.
Really enjoyed today - the performance, the late winner, the crowd going mad.

Absolutely shocking summer of recruitment in my opinion, Numpty.

Totally unbalanced, inexperienced squad. Left us in the bottom three for half the season and we've only just gotten out.

Off the field his leadership has been chaotic and naive.

Unfortnately, just as I don't trust the club to adequately replace our outgoing players, I don't trust them to adequately replace Nourry either.

So, for now, I'm just happy that we've played well today. Let's hope it continues in the short term. In the medium to long term I'm still dreaming of the club being run in a professional and competent manner and that would include a change of ownership and the new owners appointing an experienced CEO and an experienced and seperate DoF.

He's definitely improving with confidence. Really looking up a lot now, and had three good cutbacks today.

I thought he was very poor at times earlier in the season. Great to see a hard worker like him improve.

Sorry Boston, I find you genuinely hilarious and your posts make me laugh so very often.

But I really hate the word 'Paddy' used as a nickname. Does my head in.

I know you didn't mean any offence, of course.

If we'd won playing poorly today, I would still be down.

The best thing about today is that we played so well. I thought we were very good.
Gives us so much hope.

Wasn't a head injury and the whistle didn't go.

Absolutely right to play on.

"Morgan and Field make this formation and shape work. We are playing an asymmetrical 4141 with Morgan further forward than Field, who are both ahead of Varane, who sits on his own. We’ve played this shape for a while but usually with Madsen in Morgan’s role. Early season, Field played at 6 and we had Madsen and Andersen in there ahead and it was a complete disaster."

This is essentially the Cryuffian 433 we've often chatted about, descibed very well by you with regard to the assymetrical midfield. As you say, with us it's a 4141 at times, particularly out of possession.

I thought today was the first time that we really split the centre-backs and got our 6 playing as a true pivot. I agree that Varane is more suited to that role, and Field is more suited to 8. Morgan superb today at 10.

Can't underestand why Preston didn't close down Varane. They made it easy for him to play the ball out. He took full advantage.

You were also bang on about our non-tackling midfield. Thank God that seems to be changing, and the results are now coming.

Lovely.

Nice cut-back by Smyth as well. bobbled a bit, but nice composure and nice weight on it.
That's his second decent cut-back today.
