Still a strong team we have put out, real test for Madsen. Interested in fact that Anderson not mentioned in Marti interview or Clive on injury list but nowhere to be seen. I’m assuming he is crocked. |

Agree, when did you last predict a win? Is this a New Years resolution to be less QPR and more positive? Great report [Post edited 11 Jan 9:06]

My mate ( a Watford fan) thought he was best passer on the park when we played at theirs. Makes me think there is a place for someone who makes the ball do the work. |

What’s his goals per game ratio this season? Must be a nightmare for defenders to have him and Jimmy in the box. If he stays fit he will score double figures this season, how many recent forwards could we say that about. It’s been mentioned already but that pass to Smyth was a preach I was right behind it,the arc and bend was perfect. You do wonder whether he would be even better with 2 up front. |

Potentially agree unless Larkeche close, though Morgan Fox has spent as much of his career there as CB and he is not exactly letting us down. I could understand if we go for no one unless someone gets a bad injury. That’s potentially a great position to be in. Going to be interesting when ( and if) we have a full fit squad |

Agree and nice to have the options. I look at whose out injured ( Cook, Morrison, Dembele, Anderson, Celar and Larkeche) makes me think our squad is stronger than we have had for some seasons. I’m bound to be wrong but the team almost picks itself this week after a rest. So on the bench could be Walsh, Kolli, Fox, Ashby, Madsen, Kaito, EDB, Colback and Bennie… again options. I’m assuming Edwards starts alongside JCS but even if same back 4 as the other night we still have options. Going for a win, Smyth to terrorise, Frey to bully, 3-1 ( scarily positive) |

Great report, maybe just the hoops in me but I think we are on the way to producing a good team. It’s a journey and we could be going a bit quicker now than expected. It’s interesting on the goals scored stats as I would rather share the spoils than be reliant on one. Great report ( wanna say it again), Clive |

Agree but where he was and where he is are miles apart. Colback has 12 odd years on him with experience of Prem etc so logically you would expect him to be wiser, but next season Varane will be 1st choice after one season in the Championship. I never appreciated how hard it is for players to adjust to this league. I also remember when he was interviewed he admitted he isn’t the best at getting the ball between the posts, hence the deeper role methinks. Upgrade on Dozzell is an understatement, you and I would have been that. |

Love it Clive. Jimmy’s goal was the genuine OMG moment with a delayed pause of holding your head in disbelief before going mental. Seriously great article it’s not the facts it’s the raw emotion behind what you have written. Sums us all up beautifully. I am proud to be a Superhoops fan as was my dad and granddad, I know it’s the hope that kills you but maybe next season might be a good one. Suspect we might not win today though….. Andy |

Saito should be back off the bench, what’s the chance of Illias playing number 10? Agree Smyth needs a rest but suspect he will start also. Morgan needs a rest, Jimmy needs a rest ( but won’t get one). Hate to say it but not confident, lose 1-0 |

Being hard to beat can only be a good thing. Look at the table and the number of defeats is less than Swansea and matching Watford. Hopefully the Watford stat will change in our favour Wednesday. But agree with other posters re crazy scores but anyone can beat anyone in the Championship. Look at Preston, makes our result seem even better. Saying that we need the crocs back, losing Jimmy at RB stunts our attacking options on the Right Side. |

Exactly couldn’t risk JCS so soon after coming back, proper left and right back. Surprised Morgan is playing though. Bench looks strong ( looking for positives) To think we do have 4 centre backs so you would like to think we would have had all emergencies covered. Ashby is quick so hopefully covers that idiot they have on the left. COYRs |

So reading the papers this morning those with better facilities than ours are suffering more, thinking Spurs with no back 4 to talk about and Man City, looks like Ake did his hamstring as well. So the unavoidable conclusion is too many games. I have no stats but don’t remember as many injuries to key players when I was a kid and only one sub ( Gary Micklewhite more often than not). So maybe players are being trained to the point where the body gives way easier? Not putting it well but we are talking athletes at a peak with no give. I’m sure our teams of the 80s and 70s were not as fit as the science revolution via Wenger hadn’t arrived yet. It doesn’t give any form of answer, basically need bigger squads with adequate cover which is easier in the moneybags world of the Prem. So as stated earlier we need homegrown lads who can stand in. Have to say we are unlucky as I genuinely feel our season is being built around the quality of our CB’s especially with Morrison stepping so seamlessly. Norwich won’t be pretty. |

You know Clive we should give him the benefit of the doubt. He is learning on the job and it’s hard to give a Christmas update at any other time of the year. I know the cynical ones would say if we were still in the bottom 3 we would have had no update but surely the fact we aren’t and he has is positive. |

Keep it going Wilkins, would take a draw but actually believe a win is there for the taking. Half decent break so the team should be fresh, Fox will start instead of Cook and hopefully no other changes. Strong bench, Illias magic late on again and Dunne winner again on the cards. He could end up our top scorer this season, he wins that many headers. 2-1 to Superhoops |
