Hate the things but not as much as one of my dogs ,I feel so sorry for him and must be thousands of others .I can cope with one night but not the constant barrage of air bombs ,at times it's like a war zone around us and living close to a an organised display planned for Saturday night doesn't help.

I do feel for the animals but it’s a huge tradition in these parts.
So because it’s a “ tradition” that’s ok It’s big there, here everywhere It is chaos It is. Not fun We binned fix hunting and that was absolutely a tradition so why not GFN
We haven’t the guts . No govt has
It’s why people can still buy ludicrously cheap ale yet millions will eat or heat this winter and home owners will be getting ever more anxious
We have never really had a govt with guts . This lot have foresaken class for people as it sounds better

Totally different.
The aim of fox hunting is to kill, the bonfire societies take active measures to protect animals. They do a huge amount of publicity on the timings of displays so that pet owners are aware.
The displays are free (apart from fund raising through the year and buckets on the parade route that raise tens of thousands for charity ) meaning many go and don’t feel the need buy their own for home displays.
The fields themselves are always dry and there are security to crack down in street drinking.
II will have a swift half dozen in the pub before. It’s £7.40 for a pint of Guinness in my local mind 😩

Entitled, ironic seeing as you feel ENTITLED to have fireworks despite knowing the misery they cause.
I wonder how many people will end up in A&E this fireworks season?
Asda sell silent firweoks, why can't people use these, they still get the lightshow but no warzone noises that upset pets and their owners, and I mean pets because it's not just dogs that are upset by fireworks.
