Folks, next time youre passing Boots, pop on and get a pack .
Always ,when out and about ,carry one as if you have a heart attack ,popping one under your tongue could make the difference between surviving it or not .
A prosaic and humble life saver

Cough, deep breath
Cough. Deep breath.
Do this until medics arrive.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Because even doing all those doesn’t mean you won’t have a heart attack
Have a look around cardiac recovery courses and you will see many who have tried to look after themselves
Incredible reactions here

Believe it or not,Inwas trying to help.
Missus and I were reflecting on this year and what the paramedic told her en route to Broadgreen . A former Army medic at that too.
A lifesaver
Nobody, but nobody can be sure they will
A. Have a heart attack and
B. Survive it

It’s a very fine line

I could have mentioned CPR and how so few could or would be able to do it

I agree with you on this. I don’t know much about the merits of aspirin, but they cost pennies. There’s absolutely no harm in buying a pack and never using them.

Could save someone else too.

My eldest had a funny turn during the night a few months ago his heart was racing it was literally bouncing out of his chest, Mrs phoned 111 and they told her to give him an aspirin and it didn't matter if they were out of date his heart settled down in no time fair play, he got himself checked out and had to wear a monitor for a week or so it was all fine thankfully and touch wood he hasn't had an issue since.

Good to read that S
I now always carry one on my wallet wherever I go.
I carry them in the car too
I even take them with me when out with dog
Heart attacks come along when least expected
My missus had one in the pool when she was thinking of what we d have for dinner

When my dad had his heart attack we were told the waiting time for an ambulance was 14 hours.

He had no chance.

very scary thought, but one that is extremely close to home.

I have just purchased a defibrillator for the house. cost me £900 from the British heart foundation.

I have a 5 year old daughter who was born with a serious heart defect, pulmonary stenosis. She will be facing heart surgery later in life to replace a pulmonary valve that is currently leaking.

I take heart matters serious.

My methods are not favoured by some but by god i speak the truth.
