Always a reader very very rarely a poster but I must say how disappointed I am to check in on things and find no comment or reference made to one of our finest England managers passing. I always viewed the forum members to be respectful, football orientated decent people. Have I missed something because I feel very different in this moment now?

This is a wind up right? Your 1st post is a rant about people not posting about a subject which you only mention in passing. It would have been far easier just to post your own tribute to Sven.

I’m sure you’ll get over it.

I hear that he's died

No doubt he'll have passed during his short footballing career

Top lad Sven,

Ordinary looking bloke who could pull some stunners...

His pre written statement when he passed encouraging everybody to live life to the full was a treat to read.

RIP.

By all accounts was a decent bloke who loved life. Made such a dignified exit as well.
Funny how all the papers who gave him such a hard time in 2006 are publishing gushing eulogies now though.
For all that he was a top guy though could he have done better with the talent available to him when he was England manager? I’m thinking of the 2004 Euros in particular which Greece won.
