Seems so weird as he always came across as being very laid back but you never know with people. Look at Huw Edwards!

Never knowingly right.

Wonder what he wrote as it's worse than being arrested and accused of child pornography after a previous misdeed of paying a teenager £35 k for nude pictures.

It seems without any knowledge as a reaction to Huw Edwards being paid over £200k for a charge he finally pleaded guilty too, but not sacked until court case finished after guilty pleasure.

Not defending Jenas as know nothing of what he said but it seems harsh by way of comparison

BBC people in charge trying to make up for a horrendous decision made previously - perhaps. Makes them seem even more culpable and dim.

I say this speculatively and without any inside knowledge at all, but the way modern news works is that when a story takes off such as Huw Edwards / Jimmy Saville / Phillip Schofield then algorithms start looking out for BBC / scandal / sacked or whatever key words are associated with a story that delivers eyes and clicks.

Because most news outlets are just glorified telephone box adverts that derives and regurgitates news from established outlets like the BBC it auto generates traffic just because it’s a BBC staffer who was sacked and is a story that has delivered.

I guess what I’m saying is it could be something or it could be nothing. I have plenty of criticism for the BBC over a lot of things, but I feel sorry for the OTT coverage it gets, I suspect, because it’s legacy media barely clinging on to it’s public ownership model.

Point was Edwards arrested for a criminal offence after another pretty dreadful and strange personal misdemeanor Paid £200k during a period where he was up for trial and then proven guilty.

Whatever Jenas has done if its a digital communication that's inappropriate, was just highlighting the imbalance of so called problematic behaviour.

Makes no sense by way of comparison as to what has been revealed so far.

I actually thought he was good on TV to be fair. Wonder what it's all about, been done for a couple of driving violations recently hasn't he?

He was presenting TalkSport Drive today when the news broke.

Huw Edwards was a criminal case so the BBC same with any employer had to wait until the case was completed before they did anything, if he was cleared of the charges they'd be open to being sued if they had sacked him after his initial arrest. I may be wrong but I think he was only charged and plead guilty to them earlier this year

As soon as he was found guilty they sacked him and they are currently trying to get back his wages from the last year

The Jenas one is different by the sound of it, nothing criminal has happened is more of a disciplinary issue in the workplace and they have decided to get rid of him
