Can anyone shed any light on what these are. I don't want one, just want to understand why anyone would get one and whether it's fair. It says "Cup and away priority" for silver and gold. What does this mean? Those who have bought bolt on's can get an away ticket before those without bolt on's?
So in practice, a fan with a gold bolt on who hasn't been to any away games quite fancies going to Bournemouth away, so gets priority over those who have have been to lots of away games? And if not, what's the point of the bolt on? At the same time, why should someone who has paid a lot more on away games but doesn't have the bolt on, miss out on away tickets? Apparently if you are prepared to shell out that ‘little bit extra’, it puts you on a trajectory whereby you command front seats to major events such as the ‘Puma kit launches’ and ‘Russball interviews’. Here you go Southamptonfan, this is from what came out when the ST prices were announced, it does not specify exactly what the cup and away ticket proprity consists of but I am guessing it is paid for queue jumping. I would hope this only means priority in a ballot but the bolt-on holder would still need the qualifing points and not being given priority with insufficient points to be able to enter the ballot under normal circumstances. Not that I agree with any of it as any erosion into the meagre allocations for away games at Bournemouth and Brentford at the expense of the most faithful 'ordinary' away fans is unacceptable.

Who an earth would spend a load more money for a few vouchers for the shop, some unwanted tat of the club's choice and a shirt, when you could just get a shirt for less than the bolt on? £200 worth of key rings and scarves for the price of £150 just seems like nonsense. I can certainly see how a few might be tempted to pay more, to jump the queue for away tickets, but that wouldn't be fair. Priority on cup and away games, which is what you get as a ST holder anyway? The bolt on's do not give you any better access to tickets, the Silver (£75) one just gets you a code to exchange for a home/away shirt, then later in the season you will get another voucher to spend on whatever you want. Plus there is a gift pack (whatever that is!!) | | | |
