Met him once whilst doing a postal round when he was living in Suffolk , had a 1957 chevy panel van in his drive . He seemed a nice person to be fair , think his music is different but enjoyable .
Love Seasick Steve. Missus got us tickets to see him at Wembley Arena a few years back. He arrived in a John Deere tractor, which he parked outside. Most of the set was him and a percussionist, but at one stage he was joined by a singer he heard busking and liked so invited her along. There were a couple of drunks causing a fuss a few rows in front of us, who refused to leave so had to be dragged out. That was fun to watch. Then a fight kicked off in the stalls, and Steve stopped playing and said "Whoa Whoa, what's going on down there? Do I have to come down there and kick yo ass?". Music was full of energy so even if it isn't your normal listen you should still be able to feed off the buzz.
Great night out, though am predisposed to a bluesman called Steve.
He was a standing booking at Glastonbury Pyramid stage for years, not sure if he still plays. Seen him quite a few times, good day-time drinking music. Bit one-trick pony, but entertaining.
Saw him by chance at a festival in Ostrava in 2018 and loved his music since, was at Kingston last night and he hasnt changed- great live act and very funny bloke
Seen him three times and for me the guy is legendary. Fantastic musician. One time he invited my daughter up on stage with him, she was the one who got me into him in the first place.
Absolutely superb. At Pryzm night club, thanks to Banquet Records. Only only about 700 people, despite being sold out. James are playing soon, but already sold out.
