Huddersfield 21:41 - Nov 29 with 13621 viewsterryb

There was I thinking we will go above them on Friday, & their bloody well winning at Sunderland! Wednesday drawing with Leicester as well.

Go above Millwall on Boxing Day?

Not an ideal result if you merely focus on 4th from bottom, but what it has done is bunch up the table and provide a bigger target to aim at. There's only 4 points separating Huddersfield in 21st and Norwich in 14th.

As others have alluded to, it's about what we do from here on in. There are plenty of points to play for. Get back to work, back up last night's result, build momentum, and aim to move up the table rather than sneak 21st.

My OP probably looks as if I'm fixated with Huddersfield at the bottom, but I do agree with you Benny that bunching up the other teams above them has to give us a better aim.

Every season there is at least one club that started reasonably well, but drops into the relegation zone & I don't think this year will be an exception.

Pre season, I sugested that Millwall would be near the bottom & nothing has happened to change my mind.

He's the gift that keeps on giving, on the plus side we probably have the naming rights on his soul.

It wasn't too long ago that he was with us yet I can't remember a single thing he did in a hooped shirt.

As irritating as it was to see Huddersfield win, it's what we do that will define our final position.
28 games to go. 10 wins may be enough. That will need to include a fair number at home.

The improvements over the last 4 games give us hope.
Let's go to Deepdaie with a positive attitude and bring back 3 points.

Swansea look poor and they’re at home. Lowe up front for them. Lots of pretty triangles but creating nothing up front. I think Huddersfield will be ok under Moore.

If we continue this current form we’ll finish with 59 points and don’t have to worry about anyone else, including Huddersfield.

What we need today is Huddersfield to at least lose or Draw, Plymouth and Millwall to Lose.

So far none of these are happening... Bloody Championship.

Swans bring on 34-yr old Yannick Bolasie who looks like he’s eaten the whole of Turkey after he finished playing there. Still very quick though!

My view is the more in the mix down the bottom the better .We are slowly dragging other teams into our range.

6 points between us and 16th. Only 6 points. Absolutely no chance of us making up that margin a few weeks ago, now I'm confident we will end up lower mid table

Swans equalise. Lovely finish from their Arsenal loanee Patino.

Yep...decidedly mixed results for us so far.
One thing though: we're definitely not losing to Fleetwood in the FA Cup 3rd Round this season. Little wins.

We should be looking at teams near the play offs and hoping they slip up. We have won 2 games In a row- no stopping us now

Bad week for them losing to us and Plymouth. Well in the mix now.

Our destiny to remaining in the Championship is in our own hands, if we can push on with the home form we should be OK. Our home form has been the problem and hopefully now the goals have gone in at the Loft End the hoodoo has been lifted.

We’re four points off the next place above us but another four points takes you up seven more places.
it’s getting compressed down there so the holy grail of 16th is getting closer.

Swansea are the ones to keep an eye on. They're fcking terrible, hate the new manager, owners are clueless.

Good job we started winning when we did, we'd be miles adrift.

Still irritating that the teams around us didn't lose. Even the two clubs below us picked up points. Good week for Sheffield Wednesday drawing with Leicester and beating Blackburn who do us regularly. That Hillsborough fixture could be trickier than first thought.

Watched their game today. Booed off at half-time and loads of their fans left when they were 1-0 down with 15 to go. As you’d expect from a Swans side they pass out from the back and all their players are comfortable on the ball (particularly Grimes as their sitting 8). Harry Darling impressed me, very dangerous at set pieces and has a good shot on him. You’d think with Bolasie, Paterson, Jerry Yates and Lowe they would be better than they are … they were much better second half but still created very few chances. Will be interesting to see whether they hang onto Duff or pull the trigger - hopefully the former!

I'm not really looking at them yet. Every year it's the same 42-52 points to survive. So they were always going to pick up points at some stage. We need to stick 10 wins - 30 points on the board and then see what the situation is. There'll be somebody goes zooming out of it you didn't expect (hopefully us) and a Birmingham, Swansea, Millwall type that comes and gets involved like we did last year.
