Colchester - Ipswich or West Ham reserves?? 23:30 - Jun 24 with 752 viewsBlue4U2

Interesting read in Gazette Sears is looking forward to working with Hayden Mullins, Alex Dyer and Frank Nouble all who were at West Ham with him.

I think that qualifies us as West Ham reserves

It could be argued that the Hammers and the Blues are feeder clubs for Colchester United!

In this day and age the transfer of players from local clubs makes economic sense with the cost of relocation minimal, and the upheaval of the family unnecessary.

For our part we have taken on some decent players with experience at playing at a higher level and with skills to help bring on our more talented youngsters.

Given that we are looking to get out of the basement league (the right way) the experience, knowledge and skills that these players and officials brings is invaluable.

Having said all of this we are definitely not the Hammers, the Iron, the Cockney Boys, the Blues or the Tractor Boys.

Up the U's and very proud of it.
