Hi, sorry dull topic, does anyone park their car outside London and catch the train in. Where is best? Can't handle the hassle of London driving. Slough was mentioned.

Slough would work - plenty of trains from there, take about 30-35 mins. Parking is convenient, but can fill up as it's a popular commuter station.

You could park in and around Osterley station. Not sure if there are restrictions there, this is where I used to :

I usually go to Hillingdon tube station, just off the A40 (Western Avenue) which has a big, reasonably priced NCP pay and display open air car park right outside.
Then you're straight on to a Metropolitan or Piccadilly Line train into the centre. |  | | |

Osterley is a good spot. I've used www.justpark.com several times and managed to get a spot no further than 5 minutes walk from the tube station. |  | | |

I always use North Ealing tube station for parking. It's on the edge of London and easy to get to off the M4. It's a NCP car park, cheap as chips. £4.20 for 24 hours midweek, and I think it's £2 on Sat and Sundays. I have left mine there for 3 days a few times. Cameras everywhere so pretty safe. 30 yard walk to the tube. [Post edited 20 Jun 2017 23:06]
