well going with guitarists, here is The reverend horton heat doing Psychobilly freakout live in 2014. James Heath in my opinion is one of those severly underated guitarists... perhaps its the music he does tend to rarely be radio hits.

I've often wondered whether the ultra-soft-core porn in the background of some rock videos was there to distract attention from the music. And not at all subliminally.

The band is called Battles, and the song is called Atlas. They are part of the experimental genre known as "Math Rock" which features odd time signatures and rhythmic structures.
If you were an alt metal fan in the 1990's, you probably remember Helmet - a band that sounded really hard but looked like a bunch of frat boys. The drummer used to be in that band.

Helmet, as frat boys? <...< well since were on John Stanier he's in another pretty rad band called Tomahawk, with Duane Denison of the Jesus Lizard, Mike Patton of faith no more, and bass has been played by Trevor dunn of Mr. Bungle, but more importantly first few records had KevinRutmantis of the melvins.

These guys are definitely mathrock. they sound like partial differential equations to me.
