Hooper can go on loan, although we'd need to pay £35k a week
Cole still available

Would you take these if we are indeed not shopping for Gray and Gayle? A

We're clearly shopping in the bargain bin now, I can't see us paying another significant fee (£2m+) for a player. No chance Gray, Gayle or that ilk.

Given that i'd take Can't Control on a free if the wages were right.

Hooper has obviously scored goals in the Championship before but seems to have gone off the boil badly - anyone know what's happened to him? Was it injuries or of the pitch stuff?

I heard we aren't paying anyone over £15k a week, so we certainly won't be paying £35k for Hooper's wages.

Either of these are better than what we have once Chas has moved on. Best is not going to score regularly as his record shows, Hooper and Cole are better players.

Gray is out of the price bracket we are looking at. Dont know if that includes should Chaz leave. I suspect it does. Think it will be a while before we chop for players that many would like see arrive

They want £7m+ for him.

I'd have Hooper if they lowered their wage contribution. Celtic are looking at him again though. He has a 1 in 3 record for Norwich.

Cole would add to the squad.

If Hooper's going lean he must be hungry.

Offered accepted of £9m from Bristol City...........why he would want to go there is beyond me

If he's worth £9m then Austin is worth every penny of £15m

Hooper delaying his Wednesday move, most likely seeing what other options become available.

I'd take these two still.

Sheffield Wednesday have had a £10 million bid for Ross McCormack turned down by Fulham.

Where the hell has their money come from?

Talking of players we could afford I would hope Vydra at Watford is still on a Championship wage so we should get him quick before the competition, also read yesterday that Watford were probably going to release him.

In the remote possibility Charlie stays we need 1 striker, if he goes we need 2.....

There really is no shortage of mugs willing to piss scores of millions of pounds on buying a little notoriety and prestige.
