Hillys teams dont play well on dry bouncy pitches where the other team dont give them any space, Sir Alec soon found that out and saturated the Old Trafford pitch every week. When the weather is better at the begining and end of the season , the form of Hillys teams seem to tail off. Its no use putting the sprinklers on for 5 minutes before the match and at the interval, as all this does is make the surface slippy, it needs a good soaking.!
