Davis's poor performance put extra pressure on the defence which finally cracked in second half. Mane missed chance to put game to bed after he rounded goalkeeper but could not finish.

its all about consolidation this year-if we focus on that then this match performance as accepatable but if want more then we need more
Listening to the fans sing was great until we went 1-2 down !
How fickle are the fans
Just a penalty separated the sides-dont think we deserved much more
Impressed with Lunogo late on and great to see Sandro power back Just needed a bit of luck

Slightly extreme and contradictory ratings for a match decided by a dubious penalty

Well, that was a disappointing gift of 3 points to Stoke. Can't recall last time so many passes went astray, crosses from Jeff were catching practice for Jack Butland, Gomis seems to have lost all confidence, and I'm afraid that Mo Barrow looked totally out of his league. Penalty in the first 3 minutes gave Stoke the impetus to play their usual ugly, niggly football in the first half, without making any effort to increase their lead. The second half was even worse as Stoke players refused to come out of their own half, resulting in what must have been 90% possession for us. Just a shame that our players seemed to be suffering from Euro 2016 hangovers.

Lucky to get a point ,could have been so much worse ......
Erratic display-cant understand why Tozer has been brought in his touch is poor but he does ask for the ball
Great support from the away fans-respect!
Referee -took his time to make decisons-think we were fortunate today
the anti Ramsay brigade is growing which does not help
We are headed a consolidation season-until the goalposts get moved again

Ramsey will be the only person pleased with the result as we kept a clean sheet.
The performance, especially the passing, was terrible.
Performances gets worse and worse under Ramsey - this cannot go on.

Clint made a big difference in organising the defence especially at set pieces. Got a bit lucky with the foul...other than that excellent for a 37 year old. First half we did well should have scored as had several good chances. Second half Sheff Wed were better but other than at the end of second half did not get any clear chances. taking off JET and no proper replacement just shows we really need to loan a striker...glad we got a clean sheet against a reasonable Sheff Wed side....expectations mid table finish

How do you score a keeper's performance that barely had a save to make and has kept a clean sheet?

Ref is my player of the match.

Shelvey leaving too much space defensively. Cork should start instead of Shelvey next week as Arsenal would punish that space more effectively than Villa. Worth giving Eder a start over Gomis.
